How do you come up with quick cash?

Here's the scenario! Because of very unstable markets (sound familiar), major institutions are failing and the FDIC is falling behind in issuing insured monies. You have no access to credit or debit cards and anything you had in the bank is now tied up.

In today's world where easy access to money has become second nature how would you come up with CASH quickly for daily living expenses?

Let's get creative. We may need this one day!

Easy money is in having garage sales. Quick cash. We have enterprising kids organizing garage sales, and they're pocketing 20% of the profits as commission. Some are using their profits to sell discards on ebay. You would be surprised, but there are still a lot of people around that have a lot of cash to spend.

And right you should be. I'd increase my gold holdings. The dollar isn't worth the paper it's printed on. We dropped the practice of backing our money with gold (gold certificates) and then later, silver (silver certificates), now it's just a promise from the Government. "No really, I promise the money's good."

We are moving towards a cashless society. Not to sound like a conspiracy theorist, here, Micro transmitters are being developed that would be placed under your skin. Any transactions you are involved in are recorded with a swipe of a scanner, and with a built-in GPS tracker, your every move is documented. If the powers that be want to mess with you, all they have to do is turn your micro-chip off. Suddenly, no money, no records and they will know exactly how/where to find you if your presence is required. Scary stuff. Does this remind anyone of certain Bible Prophecy's? (Can you say "Mark Of The Beast"?)

It sounds like you are under the radar with your income. Don't let the IRS get wind of you or you will be SCREWED!

      Good Luck,

      espacecadet,

Cash is still king in flea markets. We might switch over to the Amero, but your flea market lock box will crumble to rust before then. And pick up after yourself after eating all those boiled eggs, that's why you're stepping on eggshells.

If no one has access to credit or debit cards, very few people will be buying anything. Most of the time I never carry cash, just a debit and credit card.

Oh but if I was trying to raise fast cash, I guess I would get my begging bowl and hitchhike to Cali.

Hey where are you? Did you get lost? We've been waiting for you at the LA Rescue Mission downtown Los Angeles. We pay cash for dishwashers and servers. Your soup is still hot, and I'll leave the light on for you.

    1) Go to Costco---buy bottles of water--$8.00 per case
    2) go to the beach, park, or somewhere else with a rolling ice chest with ice and bottles of water inside.
    3) sell bottles of ice cold water for $ 1.50 each
    4) in about four hours I've made about $50.00

Mervyn's is going out of business, and liquidating all their stores. You can buy their products at any of their stores at huge savings for resale. Check out Mervyns.com and search for a store near you.

Linens & Things just announced closing and a sellout, too.

However, reselling always sounds easier than it is - you have to get really big price cuts to make it work well.

A man I knew used to go to monthly sales at mini-storage facilities - where people rent units. When people stop paying for their storage unit, the items in it are auctioned off cheaply.

Some contents were sold sight unseen - but most he was able to get a quick look inside the unit. His buying decisions were based on the quality of goods he could see during that look at the contents. His profit margin was great!

I bought nearly $600,000 of Mervyn store fixtures and inventory and received return on investment within 6 weeks on eBay and liquidators, and from supporting my charities with garage sales. Clear profit of $2.6 million. Most of the profit was from eBay and garage sales by my little entrepreneur tykes. Not bad for a month and a half of work. And we're in process for other Mervyn stores. In this economy there will be more stores going out of business, but there are still people with lots of money who will be looking for bargains.

Sounds like you do buying/reselling in the professional range. My concern was with those who might think buying a few things on sale would result in profit - because it might not work that way.

Companies like Big Lots (one of the well known names) and many we never hear of as they are regional businesses do basically what you did. Knew a fellow in Atlanta who did buys like that as his job. The company he worked for was what I'd call a middle man company - they bought out closing drug stores, linens stores, hardwares, etc, buying most or all of the inventory and then resold that inventory to companies such as Hudson's (which may be only in the South - don't know) and those companies stocked their "bargain" stores that way.

I thought it sounded like a cool business to be in!

Seriously, there are certain brands of watches that you will almost never lose any money if you buy secondhand. The best known example is Rolex, which is probably the most common item in pawnshops worldwide. Going up the scale, you have Patek Phillipe and there is also a much lesser known Italian brand called Officine Panerai.

More and more retail stores are going out of business. Some may not even be able to survive for the Christmas shopping season. Bankruptcy and liquidation sales offer opportunities to buy merchandise at pennies on the dollar. Sell on eBay or at local swap meets.

Well according to Revelation you can't buy or sell without this 'Mark', and you won't be able to do diddly without the chip once it's fully rolled out. No purchases, no job, nada. I'd say Revelation scored a bullseye there, and I ain't a Christian. It's already been implanted in people involuntarily (Alzheimers patients in the US) and voluntarily (clubbers in Spain and Japan, so they don't have to worry their little heads about carrying cash around  ) and police in Mexico. US cops are also pimping it for 'safety'.

The 'supurating sore' mentioned with 'The Mark' also has relevance....rats have grown tumours around the site of the chips, and oozing 'burns' have been recorded. The FDA still passed them as safe for humans though.

As for making cash...chances are not many other people will have access to cash either so it'll be a little difficult.

I agree with you on that one. The mark on your head is your INTENT to serve G-d by goodness to mankind. The mark on your hand is your ACTION as it relates to your intent. You do what you desire to do. Even if your action is a screw up, where was your head when you did it? If your intent was to be a blessing or to save a life, even if the action wasn't well thought out, you are still merited with the good deed. With all the screw ups in my life....I'm so GLAD FOR GRACE!
