Someone has been trying to reach me, and said:

"I have been trying to reach you for sometime now, so i just want to inform you that I have deposited your ATM MASTER CARD of $800,000,00 USD United state dollars to the Fedex Delivery services here in West Africa, and i packaged the ATM MASTER CARD inside a magazine where nobody will notice the content. Insurance and delivery charges have been paid for, but the only fee remaining is the security safe keeping fee of $198,00 US Dollars only, which you will be required to pay before delivery. "

I'm ALMOST tempted to give them the address where I am staying. ALMOST. I guess they just want the $190, or whatever they get of the "safe keeping fee", and they may have kept the number so THEY can charge also, assuming there is even a card.

MAN am I lucky(sarc). Oh yeah, he made some mistakes that americans, at least when I was a kid, wouldn't have made. Although this message is supposedly from nigeria, he tries to look American, and the email supposedly originated at miami university. Gee, I'd pay the $198 to go to miami!

    That's a huge assumption, isn't it? "We'll hide your card in a magazine - what? NO card in the magazine? Oh my, must have been lost in the mail".

    Do people really fall for this stuff? I guess they must or it wouldn't keep happening, would it?

      Maybe not. They could use my info to try to get me credit and then send me the card and use it. It could be the perfect crime. I watched a show earlier about this gang that counterfeited. MAN was it low tech. Inkjet printer, standard ink, news print, glued together, and HAIR SPRAY(Aqua net, my mother's old favorite).

    Only $800 grand?!?!?

    I remember when these African princes were sending people millions of dollars at a time.

    I guess the Global Financial Meltdown is affecting everyone.
