Got A Letter From My Registrar

So I got a letter from my registrar the other day saying that my personal info may be disclosed when they give some documents to a lawyer who has a subpeona for a court case involving dr. oz vs some laboratory llc.

I'm wondering, should I be worried about this? Can affiliates get in trouble for linking to companies that illegally use people to sell goods even if the affiliate doesn't do that?

I hope I'm getting overly worked up over this, but not every day I get something like this in the email box.

I know this is not a legal forum, but just looking for anyone who has experience with this.

Thanks.

If the affiliate were using deceptive tactics, they WOULD be responsible! There is NO reason to believe otherwise, and it would be foolish to believe otherwise. So don't go crazy!

If you have no reason to believe of wrongdoing, and the company you promote is in some way fraudulent, you shouldn't have to worry.

Dr. OZ probably has a beef with the other company, and wants to find out what other sites link to them. It could be something as simple as their records being too low for his liking. Maybe he feels they owe him more money. Of course, if your domain is related to theirs, and they are found guilty, your domain may be in danger in some way.

As I understand what you said, I doubt you will have any problems though.

    Of course, IANAL!
