    That was pretty good.
    A friend was telling me about some interviews John Grodin did with a few of the college players who would be in this weeks draft.
    He asked tham all the same question, "what will you do to prove you belong on the team that drafts you?"
    Most said try to do their best or I don't know or just work hard.
    One guy came in and said "I'll be the first one in in the morning and the last one to leave at night, I'll learn the play book and listen to my coaches and the veterans to learn how to play my position to the best of my abilitites".
    Guess who Grodin liked?

    I think it's true.

    Most of the greatest players in any sport or most any endeavor worked very hard to get there.

    I remember Oscar Robertson talking about how people used to laugh at him because him and his basketball were inseparable.

    Jimi Hendrix would fall asleep with his guitar when he was young.

    Eric Clapton would play until his hands bled.
