Does anyone know how to make a 1st, 2nd,3rd place bracket?

Hey warriors

So I've got a tournament tonight for my gaming forum, and I need to set up brackets for the players.

I can't really find any references that show me how to make a bracket (noob friendly for brackets) and the brackets need to be set up so it will end up with a first second and third place winner.

Do I need a winners bracket and a losers bracket?

Any reference to how to set one up would be great, or even better would be a reference to a free bracketing software that will do it for me after input of the username and score, etc.
