For fans of the real Doctor Who:

And remember, the guy who did this hand-coloured 37,500 frames!

Normally I'm opposed to colorizing old films, but this is good. It really gives Mr. Hartnell life. Shame most of his episodes were destroyed.

For me, Tom Baker will always be The Doctor. But seeing Hartnell in colour has made me view his version of the timelord in a more favourable light.

Tom Baker was great. In fact, it is said that Tennant modeled his portrayal
          after Baker.

To me, they all brought something unique to the role, which is why this
series has lasted for over 40 years.

Still not sure on Matt Smith.

But Karen Gillan... yes, please. I'll have two.

I've been working my way through the Tom Baker years of Doctor Who since the hiatus of the 2005 revival began, and I'm now approaching the Peter Davison era.

Couldn't stop giggling at Meglos, which I'm just sure started with this conversation backstage:

"Fifty quid says I could make any old junk into a Doctor Who villain."

        "How about that polystyrene cactus?"

        "You're on."

nice... but i hope they won't do that for all the old movies... black and white movies are my favorites, and they should keep them like that!

Tennant did a solid job, reinvogorated the franchise, Eccleston was forgettable, Smith's doing fine, although the TellyTubby Dalek episode was awful.

Baker's the definitive Doctor of my time, Tennant absolutely brought elements of Baker back to the Dr.

I never usually watch Doctor who UNLESS it's a Daleks episode. Then I have to watch it.

The new doctor seems o.k. bit young though
