Complaint: PM System not New User Friendly...

What I mean by that is that even though I have been hanging around here for a while I don't spend hours on the forum every day. As a result I have not made a lot of posts. I'm not going to post a bunch of crap to build my post-count simply to enable the PM system.

OK you say so what is my gripe really about then?

Today I bought not 1 but 2 WSO's and I have some small questions that I would like to have answered but don't want to post those questions in the WSO threads in respect of the product owner. Even though I have just paid this person money for there WSO I can't send a PM with my question because I don't have 50 posts to my name! There should be a way to track this and have the system allow a buyer to send a PM regardless of post count...

rant over...

Aloha, Ken

That's a good idea if it's possible. However, maybe until we find out, you could just ask for the WSO owner's email address.

There should be some other form of support for these WSOs. Like, I don't know, email or something.

      Yes I sent an email.

Certainly not as efficient as a PM, especially if the item has been popular and I can see that the Warrior is currently online here in support of his/her WSO!

That's true, but I guess that convenience can be counted as a benefit to contributing to the forum.

Personally, I usually read my PMs in my email and come to the forum to respond. If I get an actual email, I can hit "reply," but if I have a PM you'll just have to wait until I get back to the forum... and I generally check my email just before leaving my PC for a while. So an email will generally get a response faster than a PM.

Different people work differently, of course, but that's the way I work - and there are probably other people who work the same way, or similarly.

          Hi Ken,

Believe it or not the simplest, cheapest, easiest, smartest, most cost effective, fastest, most intelligent, no-brainer solution for you is to plunk down the measly 37 clameroos and join the War Room.

          Instant PMness.

Oh, and there are very few WSOs that aren't covered in kind by threads in the WR.

          For free.

          Once you join.

          For a measly 37 clameroos.

Yes, there are WSOs whose topics have never been explained in the WR, but nobody in a white hat as ever seen one of them yet.

          Your move...

          ~Bill

WSO sellers are required to provide some sort of contact method in addition to PMs. Find out what his/her method is.

There are reasons for not allowing people with low post counts to send PMs. They are not made less valid because someone buys a WSO.
