Hey all,

I am an active member and a mod in another prominent SEO forum but a total newbie here. I am interested though and, ahem, wish to expand my horizons. So I wanted to say a generic hi, and this appears to be the only forum where this would seem appropriate. So hi!

How can I find out who the top contributors here are? I would like to check out the overall level. In some other forum it' possible to go to a member list and sort it by reputation. I don't immediately see a way to do this here. Is there one?

Thank you in advance!

We don't have "reputation" here. We have thanks, but there's no way to use this as a "score" to determine who you should or should not trust... because you shouldn't. There are plenty of idiots here with thousands of posts and lots of thanks, and there are plenty of experts here with under a hundred posts and no thanks at all.

Basically, you'll just have to get to know people. I know that's harsh, and takes a lot longer than sorting a list, but unfortunately - that's the way the real world works.

      I would add - and vice versa:p

The member list was disabled over a year ago because people were abusing it. You actually have to read (and perhaps participate) here and make your own decisions about who knows what about areas you are interested in.

Welcome - a generic "hi" right back at you.

Thank you all kindly for the welcome and the explanations. I didn't mean to imply that a "reputation" system would be any kind of substitute for getting to know people (to which I look forward!).

Hope to chat to you soon!
