Oh well big Man Utd fan can't say I was surprised sunday. Never had a chance of Wigan doing anything at Chelsea. Knew it would be a thrashing but 8-0 LOL

Chelsea deserved it in the end. Man Utd are in transition and never looked great this year but did push them a lot closer than I thought. We relied too heavily on Rooney and he got injured at the wrong time.

Oh well all over for another season. Roll on the world cup

They won in style as well.

Didn't like Drogba much before but seeing his passion come out
when he wasn't allowed that penalty made me admire him.

Hopefully Abramovich will spend big ready for Europe next year.

Yes but far more important over here in the UK and far more interesting has been the battle for 4th place. With the prize of a spot in the qualifying round of the Champions League and the pot of gold if you get through that it has been the talking point of the season.

Congratulations to Tottenham Hotspur on breaking the monopoly with a base of young English players, 6 of whom have made it into the provisional England squad for the upcoming World Cup in South Africa. Who do we play first, yes the USA can't wait.

  • I'm italian and I am happy for Carlo Ancelotti.
Italians do it better... in football.

But I didn't see any good team in Champions League, like in Spanish football.
They play good in their country but they lost with Inter Milan.

    Thanks and goodbye.

Does he get much media coverage over in Italy?

He seems like a cool guy!

Hate the fact that guys like Abramovic buys some crappy football clubs and turns them into "Cup Monsters". Man Utd. FTW

    Hello Alessandro

Personally I am delighted the Champions League final is between a German and Italian side, it gets boring with the same sides in the semi finals all the time. I'm hoping Inter Milan come up trumps.

Man Utd have spent a fortune on players though just like Chelsea.

But Manchester United always was one of the richest clubs in the world; it did not become one after some Russian Petrol King bought them.

True! Most clubs are going that way these days.

Chelsea is trying to become self sufficient but I bet Roman gets out his cheque book after the World Cup.

and Man City? I'll bet they spend another £100M+ this summer. If they had snatched 4th I think they would have pushed on and challenged for the CL and Prem. next year. As it is they might have to wait another year. Top 4 for sure next season though. I wonder who they'll buy?

Unfortunatley Man Utd and Liverpool have been ruined by US "businessmen" I hope we can get rid of them a.s.a.p. GLAZERS OUT! Man U should be spending £35M+ every summer on top quality players...not selling our best and buying cheap replacements. That ends up one way.

CL I wasn convinced Barcelona would win it. Shows you how unprecitable it is these days. How we got dumped out by Munich I'll never know.

Would have been far more interesting if Man City did come 4th we would have seen a whole host of superstars arriving into the premiership.

Basically whoever shines in the world cup probably would have ended up at City. But any player worth anything wants CL football so it's not gonna happen.

It's great that Tottenham did get 4th but I don't see them realistically getting very far in the CL furthermore they don't have the spending power to bring in the very best right now. Also how will they cope with playing so much football next year. Will be very interesting I already can't wait.

In the mean time COME ON FULHAM!!!!!!

Gravc I have to disagree, last thing we need is another club buying success the way Chelsea have done, just makes a mockery of the rest of the league.

Chelsea weren't playing any British players a couple of years ago when they got money and now Arsenal are doing the same thing, it's wrong. Tottenham have 6 players on the provisional England squad, lets see how many British players City play at the start of next season.

Inter Milan knocked out Barcelona with no Italians. I agree with Platini that sides should have to play home grown talent and not use global child trafficking so they can be classed as home grown (Arsenal).

No player should be allowed to be loaned out to another club in the same league, if you are not going to play them don't buy them.

Goalkeepers should not be allowed outside the penalty area that would create more goal opportunities. Tackles should be allowed and players told to get up instead of rolling about in mock agony.

Now back to 2011 and the red machine reigns victorious once again! Man Utd are by far the finest soccer team on the planet and Wayne Rooney is the greatest.

Chelsea need to sell Drogba he dives and cries when he doesn't get his way, he's past it!

    Next..... Barcelona at Wembley!

Yeah, Man City have got the squad to go all the way this season as both Man Utd and Chelsea don't have the depth. Don't think City will do anything in Euro championns League this year but the world be sitting up and taking note of the Blue End of Manchester
