HELP!!I gave an honest review of a product-TOO honest?

I was sent a review copy of a product...

It completely involves providing sdkfjskdfjs style information in order to get to the free bonus...

I felt it was very dishonest and may be considered stealing honestly...

I posted an honest review but I feel half guilty, and half not.

If I was asked to provide a review, and I'm forced to tell the truth in which case it's not a positive review, will I get banned for bashing?

I feel very strongly about this and need some advice...

I already posted my honest review, but I might go back and change it if I have to.

What should I do?

I'm still trying to wrap my head around feeling guilty for telling the truth.

It seems to me you had two options, either tell the truth or say nothing.
If you get banned for telling the truth, maybe you should rethink how good that forum is, even if it's the Warrior forum.

Maybe a Mod can share some wisdom on this topic BUT personally I feel you did the right thing.

You didn't trashed the thing out, you just warned possible buyers on whats the deal.

But I am not a Mod and the rules can be very strict about bashing other people WSO's.

Good luck man, appreciate your truthful testimonial.

Can I PM somebody with the link to my review for some advice?

    Please?

I'm assuming it's the review you left for the WSO on Google AdWords vouchers?

If so, you left an honest review so nothing wrong there. What's even more if the WSO is truly violating Google TOS you should report it to the mods. They're cracking down on WSO's that are black-hat and/or violate TOS of other sites/companies.

How do I report it? And is my review considered bashing? I tried to not make it that way.

As long as you can answer yes to these two questions it's not bashing.
      1. Did you try or read the product before you wrote your review?
      1. Did you give a fair and honest critic of the product?

In general, the best way is to use the Report Post icon. You need to be very specific about how the WSO breaks the TOS of the target site. I'm getting a lot of PMs that say, "These need removed," without any way to see why or how they're a problem.

In this case... PM me. And be specific.

No, that should not get you banned. People screw up, but that's what the help desk is for.

If you actually reviewed the product offered in the WSO you can leave your comment and it's not bashing.

You can try to report it here:

If people worry about feelings to much, there would be "great product!" everywhere and more people would get jipped.

I say good job on letting people know what you feel was a bad product, Because if you felt ripped off, I'm sure others might too.

I think you did the right thing too. But I feel the guilt that might arise, the safest thing to do really is to not say anything at all.

I notice that he is now banned. Maybe it's temporary because his post is still here, any ideas why? Seems like there have been many Warriors with high post counts getting the ban hammer, is it for their posts being overly critical or for other reasons?
    Curious,

I had to look it up. It had nothing to do with this thread or the critique he mentioned here. That's all I feel is appropriate to say on the subject.

The WSO seller's answer was interesting as it pointed to someone else who "does this" rather than the (13 yr old) seller's personal experience or explanation....and the wso is still running so guess gaming google is ok so far.

EVERYBODY thank you for your input, it really helped.

For those who asked why I had that temporary ban, it was not because of this thread or the WSO I reviewed.

In my signature I had the text "keep an eye out for my WSO" or something like that.

Then when I posted a thread in the main marketing discussion forum, because my sig still said that I got a ban for preselling.

    Didn't realize I was doing that but...learned a lesson I guess.

Thanks again guys your input really helped me feel better about my review.

Never feel guilty for telling the truth. There's a difference between "creative" language for marketing purposes and lying and/or cheating. If the guy was providing "fasdsdfasdf" or whatever, then you're not wrong to say so.
