Why we are up at this hour

At least it's just after 2 am where I am. The theory is that monitors shine bright light straight into your eyes and screw up your day/night timing. Here's the link:

Trouble sleeping? Maybe it's your iPad - CNN.com

And here is a quote from it.

"More than ever, consumer electronics -- particularly laptops, smartphones and Apple's new iPad -- are shining bright light into our eyes until just moments before we doze off.

Now there's growing concern that these glowing gadgets may actually fool our brains into thinking it's daytime. Exposure can disturb sleep patterns and exacerbate insomnia, some sleep researchers said in interviews."

A desktop with a monitor wasn't even mentioned. Am I the only one still using one of those? Wouldn't be surprised.

Well i t is 1:39 am here and I just finished processing what are now yesterday's orders. On my DeskTop.

... and I don't use any of those little gadgets - my laptop is just for screen casting and a few other things -I am a desktop person.

    ... and I can't sleep. chronically up until 4am - dawn.

I take naps but that is it - i am good for only an hour of sleep at a time.

I think I am probably electronically charged after my 12-16 hour days online everyday as a rule.

not to mention coffee super charged...

It's getting time for me to zone out of here.

    Does this matter?

I sleep when I'm tired and get up when I wake up.

"The Golden Town is the Golden Town no longer. They have sold their pillars for brass and their temples for money, they have made coins out of their golden doors. It is become a dark town full of trouble, there is no ease in its streets, beauty has left it and the old songs are gone." - Lord Dunsany, The Messengers
