Can I get some help brainstorming ideas for this?

Here's the scenario: An alarm company gives away a state of the art system with a $1,600 value as long as the recipient agrees to monitoring for about a buck a day.

I've seen the system, and it really is top notch -- window/door contacts, motion detector, siren, etc. Free installation too.

They primarily drive sales by cold calling businesses and homeowners, setting an appointment, and the rep then goes out and gives a great presentation. There's some up-sell potential too of course, but the basic system is all most people need.

I need to find another way for them to get customers. Rather than them cold calling, I'm looking for a way for people in a specific geographic area interested in alarms to call them. They do great at home shows and fairs, etc, but those are few and far between.

Anybody have any ideas?

That's a good idea. Maybe mail some postcards to them --or what do you think would be the best approach?
