Create a mailing opt in list

No doubt this is going to seem very fundamental to many but I need some help understanding something about building a mailing list that gives a starter membership to the person that opts in. I have an Aweber account, I have a membership site. I guess the question is how to connect the two automatically. That is when a person opts in to the list they are automatically given a set level of access with the option to sign up for a deeper level. I want to offer users to be a beta tester of my site in exchange for the top 10 members gets a lifetime membership.

Outsourcing is another question altogether.

Thank you for your help

I'm not exactly sure that I understand the question. Are you just trying to get opt ins onto your Aweber list? If so you just want to create an html form and embed that onto your site.

If you want to give them access to a members only site you could have a messege that gives out a link that only subscribers have access to.

You could also have them opt in again to a totally seperate list using the same method.

I don't know if that helps maybe I'm not sure I understood the question but I'm sure some more warriors will help out on this one

I am sorry I am not clear. Since I do not fully understand the process it is hard to explain. I have a membership site. I want to have people opt in to the newsletter and then be given access to a level of my choice in the membership but I do not want people to have to sign up 2 times.

Let me see if this is correct?

        1. Aweber Form
        2. Welcome email that has special link to sign up form to become a member

...but what if the person does not have time to sign up. Can I automate this process so that a username (email address) and random password is sent in the welcome email? I am using wordpress. Maybe someone knows of a plugin that will do this.

I certainly do appreciate any insight on how to handle this. It is something I have not yet taught myself how to do properly.

Thank you all for your responses and even though it has taken me some time to get back to you I did find an answer. I got a copy of Wishlist membership WP Plugin membership software and this totally solved the problem. They also have the greatest plugins that is built to work extremely great with the product and tested through their sites.
Since the time that I first posted that message and now I've learned a great deal. I'm sharing it on the website and here on the Warrior's Forum. I am going to make this one of my regular stopping sites as I learn how to properly post information and advertisments but basically start to get to know some of the regulars here at the Warrior Forum
