I been around for a while and gone through many campaigns where the
the Democrats and the Republicans have bantered their rhetoric and hash.

My 2 cents for what it is worth is this:
America as we knew it will be no more !

We are between a hammer and an anvil at this point in history.
Socialism and anarchy are on the way.

Even if McCain is elected he will have NO VETO POWER.
He knows this and has said in one of his speeches that
the only thing he would be able to do is name names and try to keep them
from being elected the next election go around.
If Obama ?? .... Veto ?? Probably a mute point.

The Dems have a house majority of 235 to 190 Republican.
It is projected that the Dems will pick up another 6 to 9 seats in this election which will place them at 240+ to 180+
Conclusion: Whatever the Dems propose will be passed and made into law.
Anything they want !

In the Senate it is the same and they expect to pick up even more seats
to the tune of almost 60 seats. With sixty votes any veto WILL BE OVERRIDDEN.
Conclusion: Whatever the Dems propose will be passed and made into law.
Anything they want !

So get ready for "cradle to the grave" social policies with no choice.
National Health care and so on.
It will be the law for any citizen to be placed into any program that is proposed for the next four years and onward.

There are no longer the checks and balances of a two party system.
The liberals have won.
We will do as our lawmakers (Democrats) decree.

Please don't kill the messenger.
Scream at me if you wish, but the handwriting is on the wall.

Sorry but your facts don't jive.... There is no Republican Congress. (House or Senate)
      Cant you read?
Regardless of any President (Democrat or Republican) we would blame
the President, which you are doing.
Presidents do not make the LAWS AND POLICIES.

When Bush was first elected the Republicans controlled the the house and congress. 4 years ago the people got sick of it and installed a democrat congress.

Apparently reading and understanding aren't your strong points. I never blamed the president in my post even though as the person in charge that is where the blame should lay.

          I agree with you.
Sorry, that we did not understand the others posting.

My topic is where we are now and where we are going.
What I posted is worrying me and I posted what I feel is obvious
to me but is not being discussed because of the tendency by
most to concentrate on the lonely job of being President.

Presidents have no friends and are blamed for everything, even if
          they have no control.

Yeah, Bush has his faults and so does every President.

My posting is supposed to be a discussion of total control of our future by a one party domination.

I have no idea how it will work out, but it seems that my gut feeling is
that you and I will probably not like it .... if it goes to socialism on the
scale that is being suggested in many forums and news forecasters.

I agree we don't know yet how it will work out and we more then likely won't like it.
I haven't liked the way our government handles things since I was old enough to see what was happening.
No matter who is elected the president is always the one blamed and praised. It's the same in business. Part of the job of being the person in charge weather it's in government, business, or personal is you are the one responsible.
