TVI Express...Pyrmamid scheme IRS Tax Relief for Victims of Ponzi & Pyramid* Schemes

Ok, it's time for me to weigh in, give you the whole scoop as to why travel and MLM simply don't go together.

The reason MLM actually works in certain industries, is because believe it or not, it can (and does) capitalize on certain inefficiencies in a normal distribution chain for goods and services. Thus, it is actually possible to sell real retail goods to real customers (which is the definition of a legitimate business btw).

Here's the problem with doing this in the travel industry: Because of regulations (like servere penalties for ovebooking), and plain common sense (it makes zero sense for a hotel to rent the same room to several customers on the same night), travel is already sold directly to the public. Thus, there is no efficienty in a direct sales model of distrubution like MLM to be had in this industry. So why would you buy travel from an MLM distributor, when you can get the same or better deals (yes, I've checked this out myself) from websites like Travelocity and Orbitz?

So, if an MLM travel salesman can't sell retail, where do they make the money? By selling memberships only.

If all you are doing is selling memberships, then you are a pyramid scheme, case closed.

But don't believe me, check out this warning from ASTA, and see for yourself.

Want to get involved in MLM? Good for you, but at least do a modicrum of homework and research, so you don't fall for stuff like this.

PS: Anyone who is in MLM travel is welcome to challenge me. I'll use the top 5 travel sites, you use your back office. We post the actual retail price on this forum. The only restriction is we both fly out of the same airports, on the same dates. The first MLM'er to soundly beat me on price gets a new distributor.....me.

Years ago I was flying to Hawaii a few times a year and I'd book my ticket on the ATA website.

So one day I looked on the TravelLosttoMe website and the ticket was $1170 for the same flight, same seat I could and did book for $470 through ATA.

That didn't seem to be a very good deal for all the hype about that site.

      That's why I cross check 5 at a minimum. Here's the 5 I generally use:

      -Travelocity
      -Cheap Tickets
      -Orbitz
      -Hotwire
      -Expedia

At least one of 'em will have a good deal. And the MLM's have never been able to beat that combo.

Where is the best resource to learn about different MLM structures? I've seen terms like 'forced matrix' etc. I am interested from the perspective of using MLM to market one of my own projects. Thanks!

Not arguing - just surprised - although I heard rumors.

TVI Express actually sounds like the ideal program.

    - no monthly fees

    - low one time payment for life-time membership/discounts $250

    - all you need for life are 2 sign ups - everything else you get after that spills over to your downline*

    - you get credit for the 2 even if they are spillover (not personal sign ups)

    - you cycle off the board to your $5000 one time (traveler) and $10,000 for eternity (express) (as many times as the small board cycles - I think 15 positions with each having their 2)

Whatever else it is or isn't I have never heard of a more healthy plan that is the opposite of most programs where the downline builds the organization and (in a pyramid only the people at the top ever make money)

This is where you, the upline cannot move unless your downline moves - and you are the one who moves them - that is a good plan.

The fact you need only 2 for life means everything you get after the 2 goes to your downline and the same for them.

I think it is a brilliant idea - no wonder it is illegal...

    * no BS "legs" where you have to have so many on each side on any given month to qualify for spillover commissions -

this is after that 2 you are set for life and you still promote since you can' move ahead without your downline moving ahead as well...
