      I find it extremely interesting. Especially since probably just a decade ago no one would have thought that this could happen.

      It also goes to show you that you just never know what new technologies will come along and suddenly redistribute the wealth of the world. You have to be ever aware, and never completely set in your ways.

          Apple's capitalization is misleading because it's P/E stock price is highly overvalued compared to the P/E ratio stock price of Microsoft. And, for the most part, these are different markets. Over 90% of software sold is for the PC market (mostly businesses) with dozens of other companies manufacturing and selling PC's. Apple has failed to attract the business market, and Microsoft perhaps will never catch up to Apple's personal/mobile consumer market share.

            There's a reason why a few years ago they dropped the "Computer" from "Apple Computer": they had a vision that the personal pc was going to become less and less central in keeping people connected to the internet and various networks, and they were right.
