Who do you think will win the World Cup 2010 in South Africa? I personally like German and England.. I've read on some articles on it and wow it's going to be very competitive this year with so many awesome players.

    Every World Cup is competitive!

I'm from England so perhaps a little bias but I think if Rooney doesn't get injured, Lampard performs as he has been lately for Chelsea and Rio Ferdinand, John Terry and Ashley Cole work well together, and also don't get injured, we should have a chance! Quite an ask!

    The bookies are saying Spain...

I'm English but live in Spain so will be supporting both. Let's face it England rarely live up to expectations and Spain are the favourites so if I had money on the winners it would be Spain. As always though, it's anyones at this stage!

The expectation put on the English squad is ridiculous. The media in the UK know fully well how good we are but hype it all up to sell papers!

Spain and England eh? Can't wait to see how they performance in a few weeks. @Steve I also do think many players in England like John, Ashley, Rio work very well together. Lets hope no one get injured anytime soon.

What part in England are you guys from? I've been to London a few years ago and loved it.. thinking maybe I should visit other cities next time I go visit a friend.

As I'm English i obviously want England to win but I'm also realistic so its probably the quarters for us again

I'm in B'ham - I spend most of my time travelling though. Last year was spent mostly in Ibiza and Goa. It's funny you ask as I'm meant to be in Koh Samui at the moment - but cancelled because of the trouble over there - will be re-arranging it all soon though when the World Cup is over I think

England friendly tomorrow and then just 11 days!!!

Well I am English too but I don't think England will win. Would love to be wrong but I was five going on six last time we won and thats a long time ago now.
Somehow I can't enjoy the World Cup as much when Ireland aren't in it ( being half and half). Takes away my excuse to watch the telly and drink Guinness.
My local Sainsbury's is going to have a lot of flags to sell at half price in a little while....along with all the un-sold charcoal.

Justin - if you come back to England for heaven's sake come up north. So few visitors venture up here and its lovely. Try Northumberland, Holy Island, Bamburgh Castle....I could go on and on. Durham is a gem. Also the natives are really friendly and the beer is good. What more could you want?

Don't visit Redcar. I used to live there.

Italy 2006 win was a fluke. They should've been eliminated in the group stage, and should've lost to France (Not a big franch fan though cuz they insist on beating Brazil in World cups ). Any real soccer fan who watched Italy play knows that.

Brazil is taking this one. Gonna take the trophy home for 2014!

It's got to be Spain or Brazil, hasn't it?

I'd love to say England but we don't have enough quality in key possessions. Compare our goalkeepers with the best in the world and we don't come off well.

We should make the semis because the draw's been kind to us, but any further than that needs a lot of luck.

Argentina look like a good long bet, if Messi and Tevez catch fire they'll score against any defence.

Guys, don't worry about England's recent poor performances in friendlies. Capello was trying out players and systems, the result wasn't that important.

On Saturday, we'll see the real England. America won't know what's hit them

I have a bad feeling about the USA. I don't think we (England) will have an easy game and I can see us losing this one. I don't know why but it's only a feeling so hopefully on saturday we stuff them 5-0 and prove me completely wrong!
