LLC's and LLP's

I was sent info for a new launch the other day (shawn casy maybe?) the lauch revolves around forming an LLC or LLP as a way to get start up capital for internet marketers.

I am considering looking into this further but wanted to find out what peoples thoughts and feeling are on the subject?

    In the USA, just forming an LLC or LLP will not get you anything - the start-up businesses are not given any funding because they don't have a "history". The ones that DO get funding normally have a lot of assets to back them up (personal assets for the owners)...and the owners will need to have excellent credit because they will be personally guaranteeing the funding.

    But the mere formation of the LLC or LLP won't make you any more likely to get funding.
