2012?

Our solar system will be exactly galactic center in the Milky Way Galaxy.

If you cut a nautilus shell in half, you would see spirals that get tighter and smaller with each revolution eventually turning in on itself.

The path of our solar system over the last several hundred thousand years looks exactly the same.

The Mayan calendar 2012 predicts the end of the world or the beginning of a new era...experts are not sure.

Experts have discovered the ruins of a Peruvian temple that predates the Mayan civilization by as much 200 - 500 years. The Peruvian Temple was just discovered near Cusco, Peru and engravings foretold the collapse of the Mayan civilization world in 1220. It appears the Mayans thought the world would end in 2012, not 1220. Were the Mayans dyslexic?

By 2012, there will be a huge mega shopping center and condos where the temple once stood.

Still 5 -- 1+2+2+0 = 5

It's sometimes called the number of protection - why police badge stars have 5 points.

You can see the logic right now it is protecting me from having to tell my age...

Like today is 10212008 - 1+0+2+1+2+0+0+8 = 14

The Maya calendar is ending on 2012, but it dosent mean its the end of the world, actually it could be a new begginning.

The world goes on and there will be new inventions that will slowly change the world to better.

But why care for the world? More important is to care about our selves and that we do the right thing and bring good to everyone, then the world will be an image of our efforts.

I've heard a Hopi Indian interpretation of 2012 where we will have 3 days of darkness, and those who make it through will see the dawning of a new age.

I'm not sure if I believe all this hype. It seems like too many are jumping on this and marketing their own work by luring people in who really think something bad will happen then. I think what happens will depend on all the events leading up to it, which don't have to be apocalyptic.
