I'm waiting to see the new dell phones. I want to check out the new windows software but I think I'll probably pass on it.

I'm still torn between the android and apple software platforms and have yet to buy either. Waiting for some of the next gen phones to come out.

    Nope not interested at all

Just bought a HTC Legend beats the Iphone hands down.

I dont see whats so good about this new one most of the phones out now can do what the 4G is claiming...multi- tasking? Pfft I can do that now

I laugh at the suckers who think this will be the best thing since sliced bread

Most of my friends think their iphone 3GS is the best phone because its the most "popular" LOL.

Oh well I'm sure it will be a solid phone enjoy.

I wouldn't say that phone is that great, what makes the Iphone great is all the apps which increase the functionality of the phone. Because in theory, all smartphones are about the same.

As for the 4G phone, what has me excited is the HD video camera on it.

I have to go with the Evo, other than the battery. But this does look impressive.

This phone is amazing. I'm sorry but I have the iPhone 3gs which is jailbroke and it beats every HTC phone that I have used hands down. I can download movies, it has multitasking, plus I can get every app for FREE! I'm able to download torrents, oh and did I mention I can make my jailbroke iPhone look exactly like the HTC GUI. :p

The only one that I thought could even be on the same level as the iPhone 4g would be the HTC Evo, and that's only because a slightly better camera, along with Sprint TV which carries NFL Network (huge football fan). I can't imagine what this phone will be capable of when it's jailbroke.

I am no geek (and I don't have an ipad) but I can't wait to get my new iphone.

I got the original iphone in 2007 and the 3g 18 months later. I deliberately didn't renew my contract when it ran out in January because I knew a new phone would be released and I wanted to have a new phone on the 2 year contract rather than be stuck with the old 3GS.

My phone has constantly evolved with me because of the apps. It is simplicity itself and just the simple feature of visual voice mail and the superb way the text messages appear as a full conversation makes it worth the money alone.

Every month a read about a new phone that is going to 'blow the iphone out of the water' and it never does.

Each to their own and I would certainly never try to persuade anybody to get the phone or be converted to its beauty and simplicity.

      Roll on 24th June

It's iPhone 4 not iPhone 4G for a reason... it runs on AT&T’s 3G service only the EVO runs on a Sprint’s 4G network and that is the reason I'm passing and going with EVO. I can't stand AT&T since I want to be able to actually use the smart phone for phone calls also not just apps and stuff.

Here in the U.S. AT&T sucks. Drops calls a lot. I was hoping the iPhone 4 would break free of AT&T and use Verizon but nope.

Smart marketing of Apple to call it iPhone 4 so people thinks it operates on the 4G network when it does not. Apple marketing of course is out of this world good!

        Good side by side:

        Showdown: iPhone 4 vs. HTC Evo 4G | Gadget Lab | Wired.com

So nope, I'm bucking the trend and going with the droid EVO. Got on the waiting list today. Can't wait.

I stick with my Droid. Everything I need and more. I am sure this thread is going to turn into a brand loyalty argument but lets all be real you do not need a rocketship to get to the convenience store and both Apple and Google are just that.

Anything you can possibly want to do can be done by either company.

Opinions are like cell phones...everybody has one. I have Blackberry Storm and it is just fine for me. I guess I am in the minority here. Most folks seem to want something other than what they have.

And, there is the group that are a-scared to git a phone because a better one is fixin' to come out next month. That will always be.

I tend to skip a generation, since Apple pretty much revs the phone annually. I'm on a 3GS now, which can be upgraded to the new version of the OS so I'm going to stick with it and probably buy the iPhone 5 next year.

Having said that, it all might change when I actually pick one up and try it. I'm in Canada, so at least I don't have to exert any willpower until sometime in July

I have a friend, that works for Rogers, and in the morning meeting today they were informed by an Apple rep that Rogers will be getting the iPhone in Canada on June 24th, however the new data plan specials etc. won't be announced until that day also!

PS - I have had a Blackberry most of my "smartphone life" but I do plan to switch the new iPhone 4!

I've had my iPhone 3G for almost 2 years and the battery is slowly dying, so I think I can justify getting a 4G when they start shipping! So excited!!

Just wonder when it will reach Singapore

I am still waiting for the iPad to reach Singapore.

Now with so many competitors, I have more choice by the time iPad reach Singapore. Apple will have 1 more customer if it manufacturing and distrbuting channel are faster lor

BTW, recall the news about factory in China ...

This looks fantastic since I'm always onto Apple and Mac. I just bought my iPhone 3G last December and I think I don't have to buy a new one for now. I'm still enjoying it!

It's amazing what happens when a product is released.

I recall when the first iphones went to market, every phone manufacturer On the planet tried to either match or beat the iphone.

The ipad has only just recently gone to market, and there are already "knock off" imitations available ...iped anyone?

In some ways, many of the copy cat smart phone have achieved this and offer better features than the iphone.

The HTC is a beautiful example of a non apple phone.

In either case, it's like any other electronic "must have" gadget. Valid today, outdated tomorrow.

I'm switching from the dark side (blackberry) to the iphone 4. I can't wait to be able to use the video chat feature on the go, rather than just in wifi areas.

After Apple works it out with the cellular companies, do you think video chat on the go will be an extra cost monthly or not?

Might want to see what AT&T are doing with the data plans .. Other providers could follow suit

AT&T's New iPhone Data Plans: Pros and Cons - PCWorld

If you haven't heard, AT&T will offer new iPhone users a choice of data plans starting Monday, June 7. New users will have to decide between a 200MB plan for $15/month or 2GB for $25. Any data usage above those limits will incur overage charges that have the potential to double your monthly data fees for the iPhone. Current iPhone user can keep their current unlimited plan or switch to a cheaper tiered data plan.

wonder when this will hit Europe ...
