I just opened my mail, first thing I pull out is a check from CitiBank for $3,800 - then I thought, I do not do business with citibank, so how could i have a check from them for $3,800 then I pull out the rest of the stuff from the envelope...wow its a mystery shopper thing, I am being paid $3,800 so i can test out Western Union, and send them $3,600 back
so that I can evaluate WU ... even though the check looks really legit, but their papers were printed from a not so good laser printer...

would be nice if law enforcement would contact me, this would
make a nice little sting, wire fraud and probably other charges,
they even have two 800 numbers, and they are in canada....

Unless your law enforcement is psychic, how would the know to contact you?

By the way, how can any reasonably intelligent person think something like this is legit?

    THIS IS A SCAM.

You put the $3800 in your bank account and immediately send them $3600. Then in a few days your bank lets you know the $3800 was a fake check and did not clear. So now you owe the bank $3800 and the scam artists made off with the money you sent to them via Western Union.

There is no free lunch. Take the check and all the info and hand it over to your local police. They should have a fraud or consumer protection unit.

I worked for a bank for years and I saw this scam happen to unsuspecting people way too many times.
