I travel quite a bit and usually get pre paid mobile broadband. Can anyone suggest an alternative for remote countries where this isn't an option.

Well i think that pre paid connection is better than the post paid.About any other alternative ,you should ask the regional seller. He'll be able to guide you properly.

Thanks for your replies. What is the regional seller?

Regional seller is an internet provider service in each country.. I guess it's depending on which area you are in the world to get diff broadband or wireless .. Be a bit more specific and maybe we can direct you to better resource. Which country is this not an option?

Prior to EVDO, about the only option in the US was DIALUP! For the most part, they were REGIONAL! And SOME cell phones now allow "tethering", but that is often EXPENSIVE, at least in the US!
