Help to defrag my computer

My computer is slow as molases. Can you tell me where to go to defrag it?

    Assuming your on a Windows machine, go to Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disc Defragmenter

    Many other things can slow down your machine as well. Good practice to back up on a regular basis. I reformat my drives about every 6-8 mos, running like new.

    Download Auslogics Disk Defrag. It works better than the Windows default defrag. Also download CCleaner and clear your temp/internet files. I'm not sure what you're using for anti-virus but run that. Run an anti-spyware. Download and run Malwarebytes. Check how much RAM you have and be sure you're not pushing it too hard. Get a can of air, remove the side of your computer, and thoroughly clean out the dust (dust is a computers' kryptonite).

    In all honestly, there are a lot of things that can make your computer run slow. Just defragging won't help as much as you're hoping.

    Yes, there's also a software such as Tune Up Utilities 2010, and advance system care pro, using both free trial version can definitely boost up computer speed. A lot of things can affect system stability actually, from Registry which is the core of the system to crammed programs and hardwares.
    Hope this 2 program can help a bit

    Another factor that can cause your computer to run slow is you may have viruses. I would download a good anti virus program such as AVG (it's free) and also Malwarebytes. Run these two programs after updating and you should probably have some viruses show up. Get rid of them and your machine should run faster.

    Defrag will definitely help. I was able to boost a badly lagging system by running a diskcleanup and defragging completely with one of the advanced auto defraggers out there. Everything opens up smoother and my boot and shutdown have also improved.

    Make sure your cleaning your registry to. Personally alongside Ausologic Defrag, I'd recommend Ausologic Registry Cleaner, and Revo Uninstaller. Both are freeware programs, but great at keeping your computer clean.
