Big Big Fan of Calvin and Hobbes...     I have the complete Calvin and Hobbes anthology book. Really sad that the creator Bill Watterson, just decided to one day drop everything and stop drawing the strip. He is also very media shy, and nobody have much contact with him. He is against marketing or licensing Calvin and Hobbes products citing that by merchandising it will cheapen the characters and it will devalue their personalities. I do not know how I feel about this subject. I really love snoopy and the TV specials such as A Charlie Brown Christmas. But I do feel that some good cartoons do get a bit saturated with the heavy commercialization. I remember that I really liked Garfield before, but it got a little bit annoying after getting to much of it. Maybe it was a smart move. But I tell ya… it does make him a little bit weird.  I also used to love Thundercats! Hopefully they will eventually make a movie based on it, Heard a lot of buzz about it (the movie) but, nothing concrete yet…it would be awesome!  and last but not least....Dungeons and Dragons...  Got a bit nostalgic there! |

Sorry for hijacking the thread by I thought this would be funny, these are the supposedly actors who would portray thundercats on the theaters….of course this is just speculation….  Brad Pitt as lion-O - I don't know why they put Garfield in this pic! is kind of funny - I think Brad Pitt would be a good Lion.      This kid does remind me of Wiley Kat!!  Huahuahuhaha.... |
