Tony Robbins Will Email You At HIS Expense

Have you heard this yet?

I've been hearing an ad on the radio
for Tony Robbins new course, "How To Double Your Sales In 12 Months".

Just call the 800 number and give your email address and he will email his course to you at his expense.

Have I missed something?

Don't know about you but, I'm not paying for email.

It begs the question...

Are there that many people out there who will fall for that?
Or, does Tony believe that there is?

Now, Tony is a multi-millionaire marketer.
So, either he's right or, you don't have to be all that bright to make a lot of money on the 'net!

Or both.

Isn't it free just to go to the library (to keep things legal, I mean)?

Not sure I get your point.

I'm sure, from a legal standpoint, you have to state that there's a cost, but, I don't believe you have state it's free.

In fact, stating that's free is good to do but, when he says "At my expense"
it implies that that he's doing something special.

My point is, are people really that ignorant to fall for it? And, if so, is it a brilliant marketing tactic because they are?

Or, is Tony Robbins not quite as smart as we think he is?

I was being obtuse, sorry. I meant going to the library and borrowing something is legal. Downloading via something like bittorrent is not. I know a lot of people swear by Tony Robbins, so it must have helped them. I have to confess that I'm not into that kind of stuff, myself -- I think I'm allergic to it or something.

He would NOT be the first that tries to make you believe that your savings are HIS expense! So if they sell it for $4, and give it to you for free, they say, imply, or otherwise act, like they paid the $4 FOR you!

There is some expense involved on his part. Specifically, the cost of the call, the human time to input the data, and the servers to deliver it. It may be relatively small on a per user basis, but it exists, and is probably non-trivial in the aggregate.

TRUE, but the idea of a call and human time, etc... is not truthfully meaningful or relevant because they are using EMAIL which means they need servers and cater to someone that almost CERTAINLY has an HTTP connection, so such costs can be reduced to near zero. AND, by near zero, I mean the average customer would cost less than a few pennies.

    Personally, I believe in Tony.

I think simply by hearing the words "At my expense"
makes listeners think they're getting something for free.
    (which the course is).

But, those words distract from the email part, and emphasize the 'free' part.

Wonder if Kern had an input.
Sounds like a tactic he would employ.
