Default What is the meaning of 777?

Warriors....

Any idea of the true meaning of the number 777? Maybe based on your guess, your experience?

Please do not answer 'it's the jackpot number'

I am very curious....

Thanks!

Its ALSO the highest octal number that can be represented in 9 bits. Out of a 16 bit number that leaves 7 bits, or enough for 2 more digits. And UNIX uses octal to handle security. So 777 means anyone can write, read, or execute the file. NOT a good situation. 7777 means the same thing but ALSO that the person running it can do anything the user and/or group could do.

I told someone about swift, that it probably used UNIX, which has security like the above, AND that it is nicknamed "the beast", and he FLIPPED!

If you are seeing this number everywhere it may be a message from your angels.
According to the book "Angel NUmbers 101" by Doreen Virtue, 777 means...
'You are definately on the right path in every area of your life. Stay balanced and spiritually awareso that you can continue moving forward on this illuminated path'

But if you are a system admin, 777 or 666 is a BAD sign! BTW 666 is considered the sign of the devil also!

And if you're an air-traffic controller it means that you've got some wide-body jets in your airspace...

Interesting parallel to the programming definition:

Read all, write all, execute all.

They've been arguing the meaning of 666 for possibly millenia! I EVEN heard a theory that said it meant NERO!

I only know what means number of 666.
AS Iron Maiden sings "666 the number of the beast. Hell and fire was spawned to be released"

It's just symbolism with some religious/clut background. If you're like me religion and cult's mean nothing, thus the symbols mean nothing.

dcyberpunk provided the answer I would give for 777. Some additional information I have about the number 7 is that is stands for: awareness & wisdom; the numbers of innerwork, research/study, reflection, and rejuvenation.

Also in the book "Angel Numbers 101" by Doreen Virtue, 666 means "Your thoughts are too focused on material illusions. Raise your thoughts spiritually to get your life back on track."

Individually, 6's are about the benefit of giving to others, problem-solving and assistance; service and responsibility.

Yes, meaning is subjective. The meaning we assign to something is based on our individual experiences, knowledge, and lessons. Even though some consensual meaning/similar mindset exists about anything that we can assign meaning to, each individual will still assign their own unique perception of what something means to them. Who's to say whose answer is right

For example, you don't perceive a number as having meaning but I on the other hand believe that numbers do have meaning which is based on things I have experienced and learned. Your belief is based on what you have experienced and learned. What you believe is what's right for you and what I believe is what's right for me

Seeing that dcyberpunk provided information from Angels 101 suggests to me that we possibily have a similar view that numbers are a way that Angels use to communicate with us. I also believe that the Universe uses numbers to provide us (at a subconscious level) with information or "updates" to information that is encoded in our RNA. A book that provides an interesting perspective on numbers is "11:11 The Time Prompt Phenomenon".

Just my 3 cents:p

Namaste,
BJ
