... because I am sure people would start whole bunch new threads on the subject today - why not keep it all in one thread? Especially for those who can't follow the progress on TV/Radio... !

Just saw these results on CNN (so far)

Obama 51%
McCain 43%

    Just voted in Virginia....there were no waits. I walked right in, proved I was regustered to vote, and voted,
    What was digusting was the blantant signs of one of the candidates which are not suppose to be within a certain distance of the polling place.I'm not mention names as it doesn't matter, but just another law blantanly broken.

    Results from what/where? It's impossible to have results this soon.

    I just returned from voting. I only had 6 people in front of me and was in and out in about 10 minutes.

      As I said SO FAR... There results don't really mean anything at this point, as you said it's too early

          Some VERY small towns closed their polls... since EVERYONE who is eligible to vote in that little town (village) voted...
