Anyone Waiting in Line?

On the news they keep showing extremely long lines in major metro areas. I only had 6 people in front of me and the whole thing only took 10 minutes.

Are you seeing long lines, or is the media just focusing on a few more urban areas?

I posted in another thread about this but no, my situation was the same as yours, took me less than 10 minutes to vote.

Oregon doesn't see many long lines....all ballots are by mail or drop off at local library/city hall. Somewhat divorces you from the action of voting but definitely don't have to stand in the rain waiting for a booth!

I just got back from voting. There was only one person in line in front of me. I was in and out in 30 minutes. The reason it took that long is that it was kind of tedious filling in all of those little oval circles with a black pen. I want to make sure that my vote counts, so I am always extra careful when I fill in them.

My goodness, I'm feeling like an idiot,I got a feeling I didn't completely fill out my ballot. I wonder if they would let me get a 2nd one and try again?

I waited in line for 2 1/2 hours. I am in a rural area. Most people waited around 2+ hours in my area to vote.

I have never waited in lines like that to vote in my life.

I walked and was handed a ballot right away from a sweet, older lady reminding me to fill out the backside of it as well.

I was in and out in a couple minutes.

Edit: Normally when I vote there are about a couple hundred who have been through that day. I was number 700 today. So it's not like there are tons of voters in my immediate area to wait on.

There were no lines- so I guess I really lucked out.

I went in at about 9:15am when every one was racing to work. No lines, no wait - just a pleasant voting experience. Being an FT IMer has it's advantages.
