Book Keeping IS a US term ALSO! My mother was a book keeper. Some people just go into business without even checking about licenses, certifications, laws, etc.... let alone book keeping.

BTW there are popular related terms like:

      profit and loss (P&L)
      Balance Sheet
      chart of accounts
      accounting

Yes it is but the rules, regulations and tax laws are all different.

A lot of people in the UK start up up dont realise things like the fact that even thought hey have to fill out tax returns etc that they dont actually pay the tax till the end of year 2, they spend the money and end up broke.

    "What is book-keeping business?"...

This is the one of the main downfalls of new business start-ups: Entrepreneurs do not know how to keep books.

Profit is great. Stay out of debt. But 85% of start-ups shut down within two years because of CASH-FLOW.

Get to the library. Check out books about accounting, and how to stay cash-fluid even in times of economic downturn or negative net-profit.

    And stay OUT of debt.
