With Murray out, Nadal's route to the final looks a lot easier now.

Federer will possibly have to beat Soderling and Djokovic to meet Rafa.

I honestly don't know. At one time, Roger was almost a sure thing. And while
I'd never count him out, I think Djkovic is the favorite at this point. I don't
think Nadal is going to take it. He's yet to win here and I don't think this year
is going to be any different.

    But, we'll see.

Nadal just doesn't seem as good at that surface. It's a bit too fast for him. I'd lke him to win and he could but right now I can't see anyone but Federer. Hope it's another Fed V Nadal clasic final as no-one seems capable of getting under Federers skin other then Nadal.

    Women.......god knows.......

I haven't watched him at the US this year but his form all year has been poor. I'd be amazed if he beat Fed's in the semis should they meet.

Djokovic is mentally very weak, so regardless of surface Fed or Rafa should prevail against him

Also Rafa has improved a lot, faster serve, better use of the slice, playing more aggressive, staying close to the baselines.etc

Will Djokovic make it fourth time lucky?

Rafa has a tough QF against Verdasco

Fingers crossed for a Fed v Nadal final.

I watched Nadal beat Lopez yes he was massively improved from the 1st 2 rounds. Might be getting into gear now? He's desperate to win this one. He's be the youngest winner of all four slams....I'd still go for Fed's right now. Just.

First one since Australia 2008......They both keep missing each other these days after what was it 6 finals in about 3 years..

Feds is getting a litle old these days..29...LOL still class act though. Should win a couple more slams i think.

    I really doubt it......I watched him....he's about a B+ player Feds/Nadal are A+ players I.M.H.O.

Still you never know. 10/1 odds.

Will Djokovic make it fourth time lucky?

IMO, it is a Roger - Nadal final.

Verdasco is Rafa's pigeon and in the semi's, he is playing Wawrinka/Youznhy, both of whom have 1 handers and won't cut it on the big stage.

Fed was unbelievable last night againt the Giant Killa Soderling.
Next, we have Djoker who can't seem to keep up with Roger in the majors except that one freak win in AO 08 when fed maestro had Mono.

In the final, it is 60/40 in favour of Fed.

The lighter balls and much truer bouncing surface means that Rafa can't take advantage of Roger's backhand as much as he did in the Australian open final in 09. Even then, ROGER was serving horribly and it still took 5 sets and Roger had his chances.

I have been waiting for a Roger - Rafa USO final for like 5 years and it is soooo close.

Only Djoker can spoil the party but he has lost 3 in a row here to the Maestro.

      I am so excited, i can't wait.

past 6 slams one of them has fell. Don't count your chickens just yet. I too hope so...I'll get a few beers and watch it. We might not see too many such finals from now on in.

I also feel Rafa is a better player than he was in 08 and Fe'ds isn't as good as he was in 08 so that might be a nice evener on this surface. Fed's will want to play anyone but Nadal for sure! What's their head to head? 13/6 (Nadal) or something?

I would hopr for a 5 set thriller.

Watch it now....Djok V Warwrinker..... LOL I do not think I'd even watch that one.

I don't want to knit-pick, but usually when you make a post with a prediction, you may want to do it BEFORE the event is decided...But since a precedent has been made in this case, I'm going with Nadal.

Remember, if you post stuff that isn't quite right, we may get the feeling you're just trying to increase your post count or get exposure to your sig.

I posted ''Federer Watch Out" because Nadal is 1 slam closer to catching his Grand Slam record.
