For those who live in the south and for those who have never seen snow, please come visit Montreal in January

    Have fun with that.

We get a few inches a few times a year. That's enough for me.

I hope it stays up there for awhile. I'm going to be driving cross country in a few days. I've been in Michigan and there have been record highs the last few days - 70's. It's made it a great vacation. Now if I could take this warm streak across to Utah with me I'd just be fine with that. Somehow I'm not too sure I can work that one.

This is what I do in the winter months @ Jay Peak VT (if you are from Montreal you should know of Jay Peak, on the VT/Canadian border):

SnowMaking... It's the most intense job I have ever had... what's yours?

I skied there when I was a kid.
Also Stratton, Mt. Snow, and a couple others whos names escape me (it was 40 years ago).
Can't tell you the most intense job I've had, there's been a few.
In the winter now I plow some of the roads going to cell towers and cable towers. These are one lane twisty dirt roads going up steep inclines, they can be real intense in an ice storm.

    Alex,

Montreal is a nice place and I would love to see the snow but I froze while visting one October.

Our warm weather has spoilt me I am afraid.

    Best Wishes,

I have 2 kids who have never seen snow. (One is 10, the other 4.)

The one who has seen "real" snow was 1 year old and we lived in PA. He doesn't remember it.

One child has seen a dusting of snow - that's it.

Where we live, we wear short sleeves in December - snow is not unheard of, but it doesn't happen every year. It falls, looks pretty for a while, then is gone by noon.
