What are your favourite parts of a magazine or newspaper?

I usually open newspapers on page 2-3 and read the editorials/debate section, then I flip the paper and read it from the back, in other words the sections where TV-stuff, culture, music etc is. If I have the time, I'll read almost everything. I just happen to like to read it in that particular order.

What are your favourite sections / parts / categories? What order do you read it in?

Made my living hauling/selling newspapers (7 days/week!) for over 15 years---up to 3000 papers/day. Drove over a million miles in that time period and made/spent over a million dollars doing it!

Would come home in the morning and read it cover-to-cover before my A.M. nap. Favorite parts were comics and want ads---those were the only ones that changed!

Now I read local paper online in about 5 minutes, realize they still have a way too liberal view of the world activities, and get on about my business.

Hard copy newspapers are dinosaurs in the information world and are failing daily around the country.

Basically same here - I read the comics since my wife can't live without the paper. I try to stay away from news since its so canned and predictable and I figure anything really important someone is going to tell me whether I want to know or not. Most business news I track I get in rss feeds and email alerts daily, the rest really isn't worth my time.

e.g. today at lunch eating with my wife - I couldn't help but note one of the stories on PAGE 1 was about someone called Lady GaGa who played at the RBC center Sunday - why is she/he/it? worth a page 1 report in a NEWSPAPER?

There's really no news that's worth reading.

Men are visual. If a magazine or newspaper doesn't have a
lingerie ad section, then it's not worth buying or even looking
    at.

Guys, you know I'm right. You don't read anything. I know you all.

I like the music and movies part. The rest is usually convoluted anyway, or at least that's the case with my local papers.
