I am unemployable - It was just proven today

So I was terminated from my job today. And it was for the same reason as the last job - Too slow. They did not give me enough time to develop, same thing with the other job. I'm fighting back tears now as I now won't have money to invest into the IM stuff.

So now that it is proven that I can't be employed, I won't worry about looking for work ever again. And if things still don't go right, I will be forced to leave IM because of lack of startup funds, not because it wasn't working for me.

So all I can ask from you guys is pray for me. I have one last ditch attempt at trying to generate some startup cash (online of course). It's almost desperate.

I know you are in a tough situation right now... and I am very sorry for the adversity you are facing in your life. You are in my thoughts brother, I believe in you.

I'm also sponsoring two people for the war room in a different thread in this sub-forum. Look for it, write something up... maybe youll get picked.

What sort of job was you doing?

Don't beat yourself up over it. Look for a different career where you feel more comfortable.

And there are lots of ways to make money that don't need any investment. Articles, free blogs, offers, manual SEO labor.

I've been in a similar situation. I nearly became an alcoholic because of my issues.

Don't really want to rain (too much) on your parade here but maybe you recognize the following two posts??

Here's an interesting poll for you guys. What is your current income situation? I'll explain the choices thoroughly:

      1. The best - The income that you make online pays your bills, buys your groceries, gets you anything and everything that you want or need, and you don't have a single financial problem. You are living the American dream.

      2. The same as number one, except you're just at your job for the sheer hell of it. You can quit or get fired if you wanted to.

      3. Your online income has met or exceeded that at your job, but it is not quite enough for you to quit your job and rely on your income online.

      4. You need your job because it pays your bills, buys your groceries, and keeps a roof over your head. The income you make online is just extra pocket money that you get to spend on some small luxuries.

      5. You absolutely MUST have your job. If you quit or got fired then the income you make online wouldn't be enough to get you those small luxuries, let alone keep a roof over your head.

      6. Just what it says - You have a job because it's the only way you make your money.

      7. You are BARELY on your feet - You make money by doing other things offline, legal or illegal.

      8. The worst - You're in poverty, basically. You are living the American nightmare.

Which is it, guys? Let's get some inspiration going!

For me, it's between three and four. I am unemployed but I do make a decent income online. I plan on turning that into one.
I just received an e-mail from Gabor Olah (not sure if he posts here or not) but it was just a reminder of how hungry I am to make a living online. Basically it said something like this (out of respect, I won't copy and paste the e-mail here):

When your mom, dad, friends, spouse, and neighbor tells you that you CAN'T, WON'T, or SHAN'T make a living online, what do you do?

      His particular answer was:

"Just smile politely and back away".

      Pretty good stuff.

My point is this: Never let anyone tell you you CAN'T do something. Better yet, don't tell yourself you CAN'T do something. If you want it bad enough, it's yours. Go get it.
Yep---couple of your posts from earlier on in your IM career!

Were it me I think I would get rid of that "Mr. Unemployable" title and spend the day hiring YOURSELF.

Then as an employer give your employee (YOU) frequent and honest reviews until that particular employee lives up to his spoken capabilities!

While searching for the proper section to placed my thread, i found yours.

Some weird way your thread made me feel comfortable.

Made me realized that I'M NOT ALONE.

No, i'm not thinking about ending my life or anything of that sort... it just hard to find honest opinion without having to pay for it.

Ending life on my own it's not an option since it was given to me and to be frank, i can't afford it.

I don't know you but seems to me that we have a lot in common.

I'm not trying to motivated you or anything... i just read your thread and though... why not ask this guy for his opinion before he makes a bunch of money and i have to pay for his opinion later on.

      Here we go.

      I need your opinion.

      Will you?

I got extremely motivated after just finding out that my checking account is -$145.02

Walking back home from the ATM machine, I got and idea!

You see, few days ago i was approved( another one) with a CPA Network and the reason i applied was because they have an offer that pays $90.00 box! for a lead.
The offer is a " Payday loan"

Near home is a computer repair and internet cafe business in the same location... meaning, just one business.

The idea is to partner with the local business owner.
Basically, the idea is for him to promote locally( sign on the store) the " Payday loan" offer by advertising 'FREE" internet usage for those in need of Emergency cash and have a JOB.

You see, part of his business already is charging people for using his ( 5) computers to browse the internet.

While talking to him , i realized that he does not know " Jack ****" about internet marketing.

He thought, Godaddy is a porno site

I saw the moment as an opportunity to introduced my not yet local business SEO product.

I thought of him as local partner since he told me that he had approach local business for website develop even though he does not know anything about website design either.

My self , i had learned( by buying SEO product for local business) about SEO but I don't know a " Jack ****" about designing website for local business.

      " I need a partner" ? any takers.

What do you think about both ideas?

#1- partnering on the CPA offer.
      #2- partnering on SEO stuff.

You see, i need some money, " Pronto" my account is calling me.

... about your recent even of becoming unemployable.

      I think is great.

Probably your J.O.B. was stopping you from becoming a full time Internet Marketer.

      Hey, don't do anything stupid.

      I need your help.

Let's make some money, i'm sure i need it!

      Anyone else can also comment.

      Thanks

      Juan

    Biggie fat,

tryinhere is RIGHT! HECK, I certainly "aired out" some "dirty laundry" here. One person read part of it, made a lot of assumptions, and I'm sure he wanted ME to kill myself. He even called me a coward for not having done it yet.

My point? MANY have problems. MANY would like an easier way out. But that sig is just ASKING for trouble.

    glchandler,
At least none of that is wrong, bad advice, or says he is doing GREAT! I could, and HAVE, given LOTS of great advice *I* could never use. SOME I even once could and did use.

I'm so sorry about your plight but please don't be pessimistic about life. There's hope as long as you are still breathing. Life is all about challenges and what makes you a real man is your ability to surmount the challenges.

Meanwhile, if you use AlertPay, I wouldn't mind sending you $10 so that you can purchase a domain and start from somewhere.

Removing yourself from a thread or from looking for jobs won't help.

You are depressed, frustrated and frightened and I get that.

I also see someone who was able to get a job in an economy where people can't get jobs! You did something right - so perhaps it was the wrong job for you.

Don't be afraid to tell a potential employers that you may not be as fast as others to pick up a new process - but then emphasize how hard you will work to be the best at what you do.

Look for jobs where speed is not the primary objective - even if the work is medial labor you can earn a decent income with jobs requiring physical labor.

Forget the "IM dream" and the standard "follow the crowd" attitude. You've worked on conduit sites, site flipping, domain flipping, Amazon, etc - but you need to focus on ONE method that you can learn and do repeatedly.

Forget all the hype and focus on one money making method or business online and plug at it until you've "got it". Then plug at it some more to build up a business of your own.

Success online isn't about following the latest trends under discussion on forums - it's about finding the one thing YOU can do to make money online and sticking with it.

Give yourself a day or two to adjust and let the bad news sink in and flow out. Then settle in and make plans for what you will do. It's up to do and you can do this. Don't worry about motivating others or about making others believe in what you are doing - just follow your own path faithfully and focus on what you have to do to improve your life.

Sorry if that sounds like a lecture - but when life knocks you down, getting up again is the only option. I've done it several times and I highly recommend it.

Just put those posts there to remind him that he was once before unemployed, yet getting some online $$$$ income...

I am unemployed but I do make a decent income online. I plan on turning that into one.
As well as pointing out to him HIS advice to others in same disgruntled, disappointed, depressing situation...

My point is this: Never let anyone tell you you CAN'T do something. Better yet, don't tell yourself you CAN'T do something. If you want it bad enough, it's yours. Go get it.
Bottom line is...if you set yourself up to remain in sad state it will become natural....witness the profile title as well as signature.

Hopefully this was just an emotional, momentary rant and he is now kicking himself UP rather than DOWN?

Have you ever considered going abroad and teaching English? Just go somewhere with a good Internet connection and you're set. Pay and accommodations can actually be pretty good.

Biggy Fat, so sorry to see you in this situation. Kay made a very important point - YOU GOT A JOB in an economy where it is very hard to get a job. Trust me I know, I have been applying for jobs and going to interviews and I can't even get a job. I have the experience, but I haven't worked for 12 years because I wanted to stay home with the kids. 12 years out of the workforce and they put you back in the status of 'no experience'.

So I am proud of you that you were able to get a job, that is an amazing accomplishment on it's own. But perhaps it wasn't the right job for you, that doesn't mean that you are unemployable, it just means you might need to try something else.

When one door closes another one opens, try to look at it from a positive view, look at this as an opportunity to leave a job that wasn't right for you and move on with your life to something better.

I know it's difficult to change your mindset when you are feeling low (trust me I know this from experience too) but it is what you MUST do to move on and be successful.

I wish you lots of luck and I will say a prayer for you and hope that everything works out well for you. And 27 years is so young, I want to see you around this forum in another 27 years from now, teaching everyone else how it's done!

What are your on line strengths? Can you:

    - Write articles
    - Write copy
    - Design graphics
    - Build websites
    - Install scripts
    - Customize Wordpress blogs
    - Perform webmaster tasks
    - SEO
    - Proof read
    - Transcribe
    - Code/Program
    - Set up autoresponders
    - Make instructional video
    - Manage projects

If you have some skills, you can make money. Start by hiring out your services through sites like Odesk or Elance. Use the section of this form to hire yourself out. Or even set up a WSO to sell your services.

If you have been on line for any length of time I am sure there is SOME skill you have that someone else needs. I got my start about 8 years ago selling script installation services, then moved into web hosting. And I did it while 5 figures in debt.

You can do whatever you tell yourself you can do.

    jpeguero,

Why don't you get a few payday loans, and use them to finance your business? Get them through YOUR link, and you will make that much more! 8-)

Seriously I, for one, wouldn't listen to anyone selling such garbage. LOOK at the terms!!!! On second thought, just get a bunch of loans and later relax and read the fine print.

I have officially been put on Free Man's Death Row. So I am hanging on by a very short and very thin thread. I will not live to see 2011 after all, so my days are truly numbered. It's been an awesome 27 years of life! I'm thankful that I got to see them all. I should have been gone a long time ago
i see your Sig is just as bad and has not changed, regardless of your personal circumstances what right do you have to come on here putting that crap in your Sig, you do not deserve to have a warrior tag and i find your Sig offensive to say the least.

I am getting tired of people coming on here crying piddle poor excuses that the world owes them something and blabbing crap.

what is it with people these days one small hard knock and all of a sudden the world owes them or they run around with o diddy stories,

no crap there should be a hard ass bootcamp for some people to find out what real hard life is / because it seems if people get a pimple on their bum these days / well it's not fair.

this is not a personal attack as it seems this place is getting more littered with o help me Rhonda cases and its rubbish.

if you could spend a few days with true hard done by people you would feel like the luckiest person in the world right now / no tolerance for any soft rubbish

there is not single person here who has not done it hard in some way so you do not have the right to come here spouting this rubbish in your sig / for the record the situation you find yourself is only one you can find a way out of / not a single person here can do that for you.

please remove your Sig / pull up your sock and bog down where people will help you or move your self along.

if there is no candle burning at the end of your tunnel, walk down and light one yourself.
