Hi All,

This is something interesting mathematical puzzle for you to be solved.

Below is an mathematical calculation puzzle for you. You can use any mathematical sign between the characters and you have to solve the puzzle.

Here it is:

2 2 2 = 6

3 3 3 = 6

4 4 4 = 6

5 5 5 = 6

6 6 6 = 6

7 7 7 = 6

8 8 8 = 6

9 9 9 = 6

You can use any math sign between these three numerical digits and the answer must be 6.

Solve this puzzle and reply the answer, you can solve any part of this puzzle also.

    2 + 2 + 2 = 6

    3 x 3 - 3 = 6

    4 + 4 - SR 4 = 6

    (5 - 5)ZP + 5 = 6

    6 x 6 / 6 = 6

    ABS((7 / 7 ) - 7) = 6

    ABS((8 ZP + 8 ZP) - 8) = 6

    9 - SR 9 x 9 ZP = 6

    Legend:

    SR = Square Root
    ZP = Zero Power
    ABS = Absolute Value

      I didn't actually attempt this, math not being my forte, but I have to say I am impressed. You seem to be quite a renaissance man (like Brian May of Queen). As I understand it, among the things you do are compose music, copywriting, and make money with internet marketing.

              Yeah, I pretty much saw the simpler solutions right away, but didn't really attempt it. I was actually more interested in seeing responses to it. I was really impressed with Steven Wagenheim's complicated solution. It was like seeing someone climb a mountain on a unicycle.

                        A wise ass, perhaps. But never wise.

        Technically, square root is doing so as well, it's just that 2 is the default on the symbol.

        The other thing is that the OP said you may insert any sign, not signS.

        Oh well.

    Haven't read the rest of the thread, but...

    2 + 2 + 2 = 6

    3 * 3 - 3 = 6

    4 / sqrt(4) + 4 = 6

    5 / 5 + 5 = 6

    6 + 6 - 6 = 6

    7 - 7 / 7 = 6

    8 - sqrt(sqrt(8 + 8)) = 6

    9 - 9 / sqrt(9) = 6

    It took about ten minutes before I thought of square roots, which was basically the key to 4, 8, and 9.
