Unreal! WHO would think of riding a segway near such a place?

Where did you get "suicide" - every report I've read points to an accident.

If you lean forward to look a view when on a Segway - you may become part of the view.

I also read a report saying the scooter he was riding on was an 'off-road' version. I'm not sure what that means, although I have seen videos of the ones that have tracks on them being riden off-road.

Tell ya what, instead of making jokes about a tragic incident, Google "Hesco barriers", you don't need the quotes, but do search under 'Images' and you'll see the invention that made him millions.

What will strike you is how simple and practical the design is.

On another note...when I first saw this story it reminded me of Lakewood Traffic Circle in Long Beach, Ca. It's a major roundabout where five main roads, including PCH (twice) converge into one large clusterf*<k.

The designer of the circle got killed in a car crash the very first day it was open while trying to navigate it.

It seems to be a suicidal accident. Maybe not suicide, but might as well be.

    Kay,

I'm trying to give him the benefit of a doubt. Murder, or suicide.

How about accident instead? Seems like a cut dry case to me.

Doesn't sound like a guy who had reason for actual suicide. Sometimes people can get a little wreckless or a tad too brave when in environments we're used to yet are not totally safe, and I am thinking that he just forgot there are limitations we need to observe and got a bit careless. He only fell 30 feet from what the article says and thirty feet to a mountaineer isn't always considered a death sentence fall, depending on the terrain.

The only thing that seems immediately apparent is the the world lost a really good guy. Condolences to his family and friends.

WELL, It seems like he was a nice guy, and helped the world. Sorry if my title was too risque. Frankly, I would never trust such a vehicle in such a place.
