Dear Warriors,

Would you please assist me in choosing a headset for my IM-Business.


I need a headset with a microphone for my HP laptop.

Could you please give me some suggestions, what to buy ?

    Hi Lasse,

    I recently purchased Dictate for the Mac so I could write articles using my voice. The headset included in the box where poor. The software would make LOTS of errors and I was ready to put the software in the bin.

    But ...

    I also own an xbox and I'm an avid Modern Warefare 2 player. I purchased a pair of Turtle Beach X11's to increase my online gaming experience (sad I know). I didn't even realize I could use them with my Mac (you can use them with a PC too).

    I set them up and Dictate works like a charm. I get a 99% success rate when talking. The audio quality is very good on them.

    I highly recommend them simply because out of the 4 headsets I have in the house those outperformed all of them!

    Hi Lasse,

    I had exactly the same experience as James -- I bought MacSpeech Dictate but was disappointed by the supplied headset. In my case, I replaced it with the Sennheiser PC131 headset and both the earphones and the microphone deliver excellent sound quality. Hope this helps!
