For those of you who are still working in a traditional job setting and have families, how do you find the time to balance work and family and internet marketing pursuits?

And for those of you who have made it to a point of no longer having to work outside the home...how were you able to do it until you reached that point?

Right now I'm working 50 hours a week and then trying to take care of a family when I get home and still somehow find time to make money online so I can someday not have to work outside of the home 50 hrs a week. We just had our second child a month ago and all the medical bills, lack of sleep, and work both at home and outside of the home are starting to make me go a bit crazy.

Thanks

There was a time when I worked a full time regular job and also worked part-time at home. I had two young sons and it was all on me.

Honestly, I worked more efficiently then than I do now when I have plenty of time and few interruptions.

Keep in mind that IM doesn't have a schedule. You can build slowly and still end up where you want to be. However, you won't get there if you burn out. You have to sleep or you endanger your health, might risk your full time job - and you won't be fun for your family, either.

If you can spend 5 hours a week on your IM business - make it five focused hours of creating sites/products, site building, writing content, backlinking, etc. Don't waste time browsing but plug in and accomplish something with the time you have.

Good luck - it's a hectic schedule that is hard to balance, but it can be done.

It's tough but I think a to do list or schedule may help! I think it's about time management and doing the top prioritize things that would make the most impact to your online business. I read this once "quality of time at work that count and the quantity of time at home that matter".. balance in all things.

    Thanks guys.

Baby didn't fall asleep until 3 am last night. I had to get up at 5:30 for work. I went to work for a couple hours then took the rest of the day as a sick day.

    Gonna go nap now.

It can be hard to balance work and famliy. I find that getting up really early helps so that I can most of my work done by 12:00. My kids are really young and they need their mama. I love having the freedom to work at home though. It takes a while to figure out a system that works.

Which part will you outsource? I just talked with a friend today. She has to work very hard. That is rather toilsome. But she thinks the happiness her daughter brings her is much bigger than the hard work she afford while breeding the little girl. I think you can never outsource this part.

It can be very tough at times and I personally feel streched. A good working schedule helps me have clock on and off, but even then there's just some things that you just can't leave business is anti-social. At the end of the day I always knew what i was getting myself into and I wouldn't have it any other way.
