Need some help with Excel - simple problem

I'm using Excel to make a form someone fills in (prints out to fill in) and am having a minor, but important issue. The following is a simplified example, but it gives you an idea of what I'm trying to accomplish.

Date: ______________________

Name: ______________________

In Excel, when I make the ________________ it wants to print preview and print those lines as _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ and I think that looks terrible and unprofessional.

So, if I'm doing ______________ on the screen, how can I tell it to do the same in print preview AND when I print the form?

Thanks in advance.

    Barb.

Select the cells/area where you want the lines...go to FORMAT>>BORDER and select a border type for the bottom portion of the cell.

    That should do it.

    Barbara,

Then do this. Type in something the desired length of your line and then underline it.
Make the FONT Color White so it won't show up.

    Hopefully that'll work.

Hi Barb you can try using the Drawing Toolbar to just draw the line instead of doing the underscore (_____)
