Those Warriors with elderly parents should be aware of an intense SPAM email be sent around this morning here in the US.

The SPAM claims to be from the Federal Government's EFTPS program, and that you, or your parents, are being investigated for "late or Rejected payment" of employment taxes.

It all looks VERY official, and while a couple of links do appear to go to a Federal Tax Site, the actual final destination does not.

So far, I've received 15 of them this morning, each with a different "case" number.

Knowing the huge number of elderly folks now online, I felt it might be helpful to alert the general population to keep an eye out and make sure their loved-ones don't get sucked into this new SPAM tool geared toward the elderly, and uninformed.

      Hi Pete,

I was writing a thread on this at the same time you posted:

      http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...sed-again.html

I think it may be an issue with e-mail addresses housed
      within AWeber.

        Hi,

Yep it's not just the US, it's the UK too.

I'm getting hammered with this crap on the email addresses I had just settled into using after killing off all of my old emails from the last time, including my main paypal email (again).

I'm getting a bit sick of this, and you can be sure that I'm going to be a lot more cautious regarding where I opt in/buy from with forced opt in.

If we get bombarded like last time, I've got a whole bunch of websites where I'm going to have to go and change the email address again and no doubt, yet again, there will be people/places that I miss that will still have the dead email address.

I got some stuff too (Czech Republic) - which is extremely funny, why the hell would I be concerned with anything legal in the US

The emails I got were full of typos and the English was weird, I'd say it was a pretty poor attempt...

Are the links pointing to "http://doctorpillsba22.com"? I just got a bunch of emails with just that link in them. I don't even know how these people got my email that they're sending this stuff to. It's my work email which I've only given out to a few local companies

I received one for taxes about a week ago. But only one, so
far. But the pharma spam has picked up a bit.

Then there are the usual Nigerian generals. I had one from the
FBI over the weekend, but it turned out to be the FBI collaborating
    with a Nigerian diplomat. LOL

    Fine entertainment...

I actually like to email them back sometimes. Try to get them thinking I'm really serious about handing over all of my personal information. Then throw in some ridiculous twist that usually leaves me with no more incoming emails from them.

You know, I just may try that because I get more of that kind than
        anything else.

Some of them are almost works of art. These people must be a real
piece of work because it's obvious someone took their time to create
the emails. Some are long, and there's a real story in them. They
should probably turn their attention to more productive fiction writing.

Been getting these the past couple of weeks, although got hit with DOZENS today.

I gotta say it almost had me logging in to my account because I had made an electronic payment not long before that. I would have clicked on that link too if I had not seen the same email 4 times, to email addresses I don't use on that site.
