Everyone is Here to Sell Something Online...Am I Right?

I don't mind the famous part, I'd just be okay with just being rich even if I'm not famous.

My "career" started by offering a resume service while I was still working 60-hour weeks for a big corporation as a recruiter and trainer. I probably reviewed over 5,000 resumes for all types of jobs at this company, and so I figured helping people with their resumes was a good way to make some extra money online. This was in 1996. I was blown away by the response and that's when the lightbulb went on for me. Within about 18 months of that, I had quit my good job there and was off on my own. The resume thing quickly moved into starting an email marketing company. That grew into six figures almost overnight, but then it died in about 2002. Next was affiliate marketing, then Adsense, then info product creation and sales, and more recently coaching.

But the real impetus for it all was dissatisfaction working in a big corporate structure. The bureaucratic nonsense. The rigid rules that were followed even when doing so was idiotic. All of the ridiculous and infantile ego games and soap opera intrigues of office life. BLECH!

Thank GOD for the Internet or I'd probably still be slaving away and hating life in that claustrophobic rat race. That's not living, man. That's barely existing.

Best decision of my entire life = taking the leap and getting out of that situation. I have zero regrets.

What kind of things were you guys selling on Ebay before you got into IM?

Good question. Selling something is only the byproduct of what I'm here for. That's to write. I also love the idea of working for myself. Which means I have to sell. It's a bit frustrating actually. I have to learn all this stuff, to make a living, and all I want to do is write...AARRGGHH.

Passion with technology + Freedom to work at home -> Now I am into Internet Marketing!

I started working as a writer and now am catering some of the IM who needed good reviews for their products or website

First I join with amazon, but after a six month I sell nothing, now I'm trying with affiliates.
I Hope will have better results.

I'm like Kurt. We're online to sell our bodies.

Everyone takes the elevator up to the main forum to sell things online. Here in the OT we congregate to be ourselves and, thus, completely demolish our business reputations.

Its not about the money, its about the freedom and flexibility. Money is a vehicle for having a free and flexible life but money isnt the end all goal.
