Question about links in sig file

I have read the rules on signature files, and while they are pretty straightforward, I'm thinking about putting a link in my sig file that is 'borderline dubious.' Not that I want to do anything wrong, I'm just not 100% certain that this is not allowed. Since I don't want to get in trouble by violating the forum rules, I thought I would ask just to make sure. (I have read the sig file rules and am not clear as to whether the link would be legit or not.)

What I want to do is to place a link to two domain names that I have for sale. The domains are listed on a sales page that a link to an affiliate product that nicely ties in with the domain name. There is nothing else on the page. The domains and sales page are hosted on my own server.

I realize that I could post the domains for sale here on the forum, but since I only have two domains at this time (they are matching .ca and .mobi domains) I will be selling them at a price way below what it will cost me to list them on the classifieds section of the forum. The holding page has an affiliate link that ties in nicely with the names, so I realize that might be a problem.

Suggestions as to how to proceed greatly appreciated!

    Val,

If you own the sites, and they are not "affiliate ready made sites", as an example, I think you should be OK.

Most people who put links to their sites are selling a product or service so WHAT you are selling is not as important as 'actually owning the site'. If the item for sale is the site itself, and you own it, I don't see where you would be violating any sig file rule.

You can always run it by Thomas at the help desk if you still feel uncomfortable about the links.

Thanks Bill - that was my feeling, too, but I will run it past Thomas once I get everything organized before I add the sig file link.
