I just read this an don't know if it is true or not, but it says we will need to get permission from the Gov. to fly from one state to another. How do you feel about that, and is it even true. Has anyone heard about this before.

The news just gets wierder everyday.

I am one who didn't used to mind new restrictions because I felt if you have nothing to hide, it is for the greater good and would help find terrorists, illegals, etc.

However, now I really see where we are losing more and more rights to privacy and civil rights.

Of course I don't know how many terrorists or illegals they are catching, so not sure really what is going on.

"Something is happening here and you don't know what it is, do you Mr. Jones". (Bob Dylan)

Thanks for pointing out something else to fret about, Clint!?!? LOL.

I dont know if this is true or not but I do not like it or agree with it!

Like the article says travel is "not a mere conditional liberty subject to regulation and control under conventional due process or equal protection standards," but "a virtually unconditional personal right."

I do not think government should EVER have the right to tell the US citizens that they have to get approval to go visit friends or loved ones in other states!!
And what would this new law do for those who travel for work several days a week? They would have to get approval to fly to meet clients and make a living? Gimme a break!

Where does this sort of stuff come from? Seriously?

Just logically, on it's face would anything like what's being suggested here have any chance of being accepted?

I mean right now, at this very moment there are people literally dieing in foreign countries so this sort of thing will never become an issue in this country. I see these kind of topics as an insult to these people and their millions of family members.

It's not my intent to rain on anyone's parade but can we not perpetuate this kind of stuff by talking about it. Just let it quietly fade back into the dark crevices from whence it came.

      Clyde,

Knowledge is power. We can just sit by and do nothing or WRITE OUR LEGISLATORS AND TELL THEM TO TAKE ACTION AGAINST SUCH TYRANNY.

NO one should monitor our travels within the US. Now, passports to other countries is one thing, but this is supposed to be the United States....not the United Mini-Semi Nations. We should be outraged and should be jamming the phone lines of our illustrious Governator with irate comments.

I've got some letters to write!

Sorry I can't disagree more strenuously on that Clyde. Burying our heads in the sand is exactly how this stuff gets foisted upon us.

We are asleep at the wheel and there are things happening that have not even been legislated, let alone voted on - 'shadow government' comes to mind.

It's not like I know what we can do to stop any of it, but I do know that somebody better start paying attention and not being so quick to yell 'BS' or 'conspiracy theory'...

So much that is happening in reality now was just a 'theory' that nobody paid much attention to because it was 'too far out' or 'will never happen'...

Wake up and smell the coffee (it's burning).

I'm with Allan, I have given up on flying unless I finally get to go to Amsterdam for the cannibus cup
Last time I flew my flight was delayed 4 hours.
Being some what of a chain smoker I drove the security folks crazy.
It got to the point that when I would go back into the terminal after a smoke they would just wave me through.
That was till I asked how they knew it wasn't a rouse to smuggle something in:rolleyes:
      I'll never say that again.
Now if I travel in the US I just hop on my shiny metal ass and go.

There's a guy in jail right now who threatened a judge. While in jail, he wrote a letter, threatening to kill Obama.
Free speech doesn't provide an excuse for invading someone else's privacy by threatening to harm them. That's what stalkers do - and too often follow up those threats with action.

"I don't like you so I want to kill you" is not the statement of a stable individual. He seems to be a slow learner, too.

I'll have to tell you about all the "items" I threw in the little bowl at security once upon a time.....

Hint: I didn't want them to think I was trying to smuggle anything either and the lady in security thought I should "donate" the fattest....to her shirt pocket
