    Get over it Tex.

    So proud of my 'hometown'...

Interesting though since some towns in CA don't even allow cigarette smoking outside businesses etc.

They allow it, it is just generally ILLEGAL to allow it. BIG difference!

In LA, last I knew, smokers would get a $1000 fine, establishments ALLOWING it would get a $5000 fine! I don't think ANYONE ever had to pay. ALSO, there is a loophole that MANY restaurants used! BARS are EXEMPT, or at least were, so a restaurant would have a bar in back and claim that made the WHOLE restaurant a smoker's zone!

But I have smelled pot in at least 3 places on the street, in SOUTHERN california. I went to a private boarding school, and it seemed everyone had access to pot. One guy, the son of a very rich singer, FLAUNTED it! Kids were expelled for having "sex", etc..., but NOT for pot!

Heck, I went to a get together with my father, a coworker, and the cousin of another famous singer, and the cousin pulled out a roach and passed it around. NO, I didn't partake, but you could smell it.

Oh yeah, they made mj state legal, and at least one town in northern california has it as the main business!!!!

I guess news is slow, huh?

You only are in for a citation now in CA for pot -as long as you have less than an ounce. It was a misdemeanor until a month or two back. Highly likely that not too many people get too souped about getting a ticket when they are out someplace like a ballgame.

YEAH, even when I was in highschool there was a T-shirt with a cop peering at a scale with 1 ounce on one side, and marijuana on the other. A reference to that rule.

Perhaps it was the smell of 134 tons of marijuana that was burnt in Mexico.

Mexico - that was ignorance. The cartels are getting so bad down there that a whole town's police force just upped and quit. They should have distributed that pot free to anyone who wanted it and just let the cartels go without the money from that and the stuff they didn't sell because the people had it already. Yeah, so far so good. I'm not sure about game three though. Sanchez was not good in his last couple of starts. He can be wild. I'm feeling pretty good about the series however. :-)

Speaking of smoking pot at games, I remember years ago when I went to Warriors games there was several hundred, perhaps close to a thousand, fans who smoked weed at halftime on the walkway that went from the first floor to the second floor of the stadium. This was like 15 to 20 years ago. Finally someone complained and they stopped letting people do it. Too bad, because after halftime the fans would be loud as hell and usually the Warriors responded to that by playing inspired.

Steve - I was NOT talking about smoking cigarettes INSIDE establishments. I have lived in NORTHERN California all my life and it has been against the law for about 20 years or so.

What I am talking about is cities like Los Gatos - you can't even smoke OUTSIDE. Everywhere in CA there are RULES about smoking OUTSIDE of like office buildings - you can't smoke right OUTSIDE the door. Has to be so many feet away from the building/door -

I do believe in Los Gatos you can't smoke ANYWHERE OUTSIDE on the city streets - outside is public

I do remember quite a few years ago a friend being told not to smoke CIGARETTES AT A BALLGAME.

I sure have saved a ton of money since you can't smoke CIGARETTES at restaurants and bars because I rarely go now -

As for pot I like it CONTROLLED - I like the MEDICAL pot licenses we have now - everyone has one - you don't have to be terminal. (they say there is a good chance legalizing it is not going to pass) - it's ok - the dimwits will go nuts and ruin it anyway if they did pass it.

I want the cartels DESTROYED and I wish I could say GROW OUR OWN IN THE USA since it is way better than anything from Mexico BESIDES - but the cartels have even taken over our forests to some degree. So GROW YOUR OWN for personal use with a license is my preference (as it is now).

The big bonfire in Mexico made me HAPPY.

How can anyone PATRONIZE MURDERERS and get HIGH?
