Robin hood Prince of thieves. The first movie my wife and I saw together when we started dating again.

I had asked her to marry me and she said no! imagine that - no to me!
Anyhow, she calls me a stubborn SOB (I prefer determined) but it took a year before we started dating again and this was the first movie we saw together. a year later we were married (but she had to ask me - I had told her she would have to ask and that she'd better have a damn ring when she did - which she did! Told you I was a determined person heheheh)

I like the favorite movies are the notthing hill, Beauty abd the beast, titanic...etc...Well, I would be an unusual too! "True Romance" Slater and Patricia Arquette , the probability of the early 90s? He met her as a call girl, married her, trying to make her leave her pimp, and this is where the trouble started ... but it has a very happy ending! It came out in theaters, I met my husband. Now, 17 years Hou Wate / him, I am still very angry, he had finished, he sometimes plug, so if he saw me watching, he is often in another area of the house, until well after the movie is over!

I wouldn't exactly define it as a romance, but there are certainly parts within it that are just that. A movie with Anthony Hopkins (one of my favourite living actors), Brad Pitt (who is surprisingly good here), Aidan Quinn and Julia Ormond, called "Legends of the Fall".

The whole movie is sad, sad, sad.

I took an MBTI personality test a while ago, which has me down as "being an INTJ". By nature, we're supposed to be emotionally numb. I have to say, it's quite true in some cases ... but watching a beautiful movie, or reading a beautiful story, or listening to others' tales of hardship, heartache, traumatic life experiences, etc, really gets the tear ducts streaming.

I'm sure if he'd have just been a little more careful and persistent, he could've found a way of balancing on that piece of floating debris with her.

What a waste.

I really liked Billy Zane's character (Cal?) more than Jack in Titanic.

I was also more moved by the scenes of the poor third class passengers who were tucked up in bed and being comforted by their mother, as the water rushed in through the door, towards them, than I was of Jack's tragic end.

I wonder if that is how some people really conducted themselves, having come to terms with the fact that they weren't going to stand a chance of surviving?

My favourite Romantic Movie is The Proposal. I like most romance comedies are, nevertheless it was sweet. This is really the most touching movie i have ever seen. Best romantic movie. The wonderful comedic timing and chemistry between Sandra Bullock and Reynolds was terrific. The story line has The Proposal, a pushy boss forces her young assistant to marry her in order to keep her Visa status in the U.S. and avoid deportation to Canada. I loved the movie.

'Lars and the Real Girl'. I won't tell you what it's about or you probably wouldn't watch, but it's totally worth it.

'One Crazy Summer' with John Cusack and Demi Moore is awesome, but it's only 'kind of' a romance. More funny, actually.

If you're looking for the run-of-the-mill type romance movie, I would go with 'The Notebook'.

Had forgotten about Somewhere In Time but yes its a good film. Others I liked were The Notebook and Love Actually although I resisted watching both for quite a while.

One of the all time best not a film but a series - Pride and Prejudice, the BBC version with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehly - the best version ever.
