Hello fellow warriors,

I am at a crossroads. I haven't started in IM as of yet. I'm ready to get started but need to decide what program to start with. I've come across 2 programs that have caught my attention. Niche Blitzkrieg and AffiliateArticleWriters.com. If anyone here has used or is currently using either of these programs, your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Tom

      Hi Tom,

Success in internet marketing is a result of you being or becoming successful at selling something. Programs with fancy names only tend to distract newcomers from understanding that the only way to make money online is the same as it is offline.

You either have to sell your time (like a job) or you sell a product (like a merchant).

What is it you are selling?

    Thanks Bill,

That's my problem. I'm unsure of how to get started. I'm not loooking for something to do it all for me, but at least show me what to do and how to do it. I've been wanting to start my own business for some time. I'm currently working overseas, because jobs are hard to come by back home. So, this is something I really want and need to do.

I've been reading a lot of posts here in the forum and there is a lot of info here, however, I'm a visual person and need to see what to do and how to do it. Once I learn it, I'm good to go. That's what I'm looking for.

      Tom,

In a real sense building a business on the internet is like building a house from the ground up. There is real work involved, and at every turn there is something to distract you into thinking you need it or you will want to have it.

Picture this...you want to build that house so you start doing research on the elements it will take to create that house. If you don't already have a blueprint, you open yourself up to every opportunity that presents itself to tug on your emotions.

Let's look at this from the perspective of our hypothetical house...

You see an ad for a jacuzzi tub and think, "I want one of those." Or you see and ad for the latest architectual style of roofing shingle and you think, "That's what I want my roof to look like." I could use hundreds of other examples but let's just look at these two...

If you ran out and bought the jacuzzi before you were ready to have the plumbers install it, you'd be creating a situation that would not be in your best interest. You haven't even had the bathrooms designed yet, and now you have to store this dang oversized tub. Unless you're blessed with ample storage it's going to cost you money, effort, and time to deal with it. The same goes for the roofing shingles. You don't even know how big the roof is, or how many shingles it will take.

The point is, getting back to your original question about the two programs, looking at items and making emotional buying decisions based on perceived needs that haven't surfaced yet is counterproductive.

Everybody and their brother is going to try and sell you a magic bullet that will allow you to magically have your bank account grow and some of them will tell you it can happen almost overnight.

The truth is most of those programs won't do you any more good than buying the jacuzzi and those shingles before the ink is dry on the blueprints. If you don't currently have a product you are selling, or a skill (labor) to sell, you won't get anybody to pay you for them. The internet is just a way of "marketing" those skills or products.

There's a reason 95% of people coming online trying to make money fail and that reason is because they don't understand the difference between selling something to get paid, and buying a jacuzzi.

Buying a jacuzzi is a lot funner, and so most of them opt to do that.

      Don't be one of them.

      ~Bill

    Hey Tom,

I would agree with Bill, as I have made some similar mistakes that I'm now trying to rectify which is costing me time, and have built a website, but not live yet. I need to build my presence or "You Inc", which is selling me not a company. People like to buy from people they know and trust, and someone that can solve their problem, their pain etc. If you can provide the solution that is relevant to what they need?? Then you are half way there..

Also one of the greatest secrets on the internet is PUT OTHERS FIRST, NOT YOU OR ME! ME! and I.. as you will soon find out that prospects will run from you , blocking your email address in their in box as SPAM!!

Hope this little advice will help you to build a plan of action..before jumping on the super highway...

very true jojo8008, the golden rule of IM; give unto others and maybe in the future they will be inclined to give back, and who knows, the newbie with 5 posts might be the next guru! best of luck to all of you, tmeachum, in retrospect i wouldn't buy anything and just read through the posts on this site (with a grain of salt) for a week or two then take action with what you have learned for free, when you make enough money, then buy a product thats well reviewed on here with your earnings
