Howdy all,

Challenges, setting up goals and such really keeps me motivated. Even though I don't make any real money yet it is great to see some results from search engines.

I am starting this thread to keep myself motivated. By setting up a goal it will be easier for me to accomplish something.

Shall we start then?

I found three new keywords and a product to sell. I will start three WordPress sites and aim to be in the top 5 for the three keywords within 30 days, starting today.

Roadmap:
- Buy domains
- Install WordPress and appropriate plugins
- Create a set of introduction posts (5 posts per blog)
- Create a set of content (At least 5 posts/pages per blog)
- Submit sites using SocialBot
- Submit sites using ArticleBot
- Buy 30 PR1+ sidebar links each
- Build 15 backlinks daily for each site
- Post daily updates on the blogs
- Make $$$ (Perhaps...)

Some info about the keywords:
- No results in top ten has keyword in domains
- Less than a third has it in the tile or description
- No mega-sites in top ten

Hits within quotes: 8 800, 5 270 and 13 800
Searches per month: 115 800 together

Lets get going!

Wish me luck!

I wish you all the best in your challenge and I will keep an eye on it. By the way what niche are you targeting.

Those look like nice keywords. Are they buying keywords? Are there adverts on the right hand side of Google's search results?

    Thanks everyone!

I will not tell what niche it is since I don't want any competition.

I consider the keywords to be buying. The audience is compulsive and wealthy. Only one of the keyword has ads on google.

    Best Regards

Currently have 5 WP sites running. I install manually, but only takes 10 minutes so it is no issue

It looks like you've done your research quite well on keywords and competition. Just make sure that your niches can be easily monetized and that the keywords you are targeting for the domain are 'buying' ones. The only reason I ask this is because you mention that there are either none or just one Google Adwords ad on the right, which is usually not a good sign.

    Update:

Got the domains now. com/net/org was available for two and for the third I had to choose between net and org. Ended up with two coms and a nrt. The com domain that was taken does not seem to be in use.

14 hour day at work today (plus 2 hours travelling back and forth) so I will be quite tired once I get home. I will try to set up WordPress if I have the energy, otherwise I will do so tomorrow.

About 45 minutes until I get home so think I will start writing an article or something now.

    Best Regards

Second day of my challenge and no work done. My daytime job is killing me... Some ideas though:

    - Since competition is low I will be implenting all keywords on all sites but still focus on the main keyword.

    - If this goes well and I get more than one sell per week I might do more sites in the same niche and attempt to fill Googles first page for the three keywords.

    Best Regards

Whenever I am considering using Adsense on a site I first check Spyfu. This site will quickly tell you how many Adsense ads are available for a given keyword or keyword phrase and in addition tells you what the advertisers who are paying for those ads are paying each time someone clicks one of the ads.

I usually won't use a keyword that advertisers are paying less than .50 cents a click for. Remember the more the advertiser is paying the more you will make for clicks on those ads on your site. And if there are only a few ads available then you run the risk of not having any ads displaying on your site.

Even if you are not going to use Adsense this can be good information. If you find there are lots of ads and the rate they are paying for clicks is high that is a good indication that the keyword is profitable or they would not be wasting theri money.

Just another tool to help make a decision.

I just love the 30 day challenge concept. I myself am nearing the end of my very first 30 day challenge. I decided to build 15 blogs. As of today I have already build 11 blogs.

How are you coming along with your challenge waldemar?

My advice to you and other folks new to earning money online is to not worry so much about making millions and concentrate on something you love.

Your chances of success go way up if you can't wait to go to work each morning. At first you might feel that way about earning that easy money but in all but the most rare cases, the money doesn't come easy. It takes hard work and very shortly anything that you don't love doing just becomes drudgery.

So don't choose to do something because someone is telling you it will make millions. If you're going to sell products, pick those that you would buy or that you know about. If you're going to build a website, choose a subject that's close to your heart.

And when someone tells you that their method will earn you a fortune and it's easy, don't let them waste your time. If it seems to good to be true, it's almost certainly not true.

Once you've chosen an online strategy, take action! Stop looking for other easier ways and make your strategy work.

Thomas Edison said it best. "Success is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration".

Rick B I agree with everything that you have said. Although making a million dollars would be great, I am just going to focus on making that first $1.00 online for right now.

It is so easy getting sucked in into buying every single course, report, video and e-book out there, that offers some new way to make money online. So I am dusting off all the internet marketing strategies I have already bought over the years and put them to work for me.

I am getting ready for my new challenge come January.

This sounds really cool!! Great goals. You can rank even higher if you put your target keywords in the domain and then make a permanent post that shows up as the main page on your blog. The main post should also display your target keywords. I am just now learning about this and it totally makes sense.
