I got an e-mail from google about my analytic account telling me I should upgrade to premium, anyone know what this is, is it free like the regular version, seems to me everyone who is pushing a premium version of something is cost money or more money then the version you are using.

Back when it was launched, SearchEngineLand shared Google Analytics Premium: Better Support & Goodbye Data Sampling .

"The new Google Analytics premium is not about features, as shown below there are few capabilities available on the premium version that are not available on the standard version. It is designed for organizations who value guaranteed availability, dedicated services and support; it is also critical for sites who want to process data more frequently and without sampling."

If you have 150K to spend, that is....

"Work directly with Google and a flat annual fee of $150,000 (USD) covers all the data, guarantees and service you could need. To get in touch with us, fill out the form below and a Google Analytics Premium representative will be in touch with you soon."

Overview â€" Google Analytics Premium â€" Google Analytics gives all the details.

    Hope that helps!

  • Seems odd that Google would email small businesses to pitch a $150K product. Corporate CIOs, sure, but the typical IMer? Strange.

Google is not beyond the occasional spam...

For example, my AdWords account was suspended back in 2009. To this day I get both emails and snail mail enticing me to join AdWords - which they already told me I could never again have an account

I've asked to be removed from their mailing lists. Still getting mail and email. Go figure.
