Looking closer at options and stuck on a test of this software is there any one here who uses this software ? can give some real life feed back, it seems impressive on the outside , little separate sites from what i can see a shop module that also controls advertising ? forum blog articles , picture gallery / directory ? not sure on that one ? not sure if there is a classifieds mod.

Would appreciate any examples and feedback, / I also see they host it but not sure if the hosted version can have the shop or not ?

I have got invision power on two of my bigger sites. The features are comparable to VBulletin but the earlier versions were susceptible to being hacked and there was also a issue of causing too much server load. I had help from an employee of Invision power who sold me one of the sites. Otherwise, it could have been quite nasty.

My vBulletin sites were never hacked although they get much less traffic. I think you have to compare Invision Power and VBulletin carefully before you decide.

OK thanks for the replies, I have always thought of VB as the master, however in looking for answers and not finding them you dig up new stuff and is how i found invsion.

I am not supporting any system at this point, but i can say I am impressed so far with invision in that the suite offers some great tools, like an ability to list you products, affiliate options, advertising manager, blogs forum, and what looks like stand alone mini sites.

One thing they also do is have a hosted option, where you grow and expand as you move up but this did not include the business side / product listing etc.

I can say very shortly / the end of this week or so it will be added as an add on to the hosted option as a full package if you want it. (I only found this out this morning after a quick call to the states to follow up on an email question and is not on the site as yet as info anywhere that i know of)

that being said it makes for a very full and complete package, so I will test out the 5 day trial a little more / still very much VB inclined but it is hard not to look out of the corner of your eye at this bit of kit, it is impressive on the surface.
