That is pretty scary. Another incident to keep the conspiracy blogs going for a while.

    - "Well, what do you have?"

    - "Sir, yes. The missile. Well, um... Kurt was on duty, yesterday."

    - "Oh geez... "

From the sounds of it, it was either quite like the story goes -- or we will wait another 60 years before any real info gets out.

Not "only in CA" this time, Pat -- "Only in America".

What is fascinating is that all the defenses we have to keep a watch on launches around the world....apparently didn't notice this.

Someone pointed out on a news show - if was accidental, good thing it headed west instead of east. Yep, Pat, then it might be "only in CA".

If govt said "this is a security issue so we can't talk about it" - ok. I wouldn't like that but it's an answer.

When the agencies say "we don't know what that was or where it came from" - THEN we have a problem.

I'm sure they know exactly what it is and where it came from (possibly from one of our boomers or attack boats--just a guess).

It apparently was DOMESTIC. It would STILL be bad, and no excuse, but it would explain why it wasn't detected earlier.

Oi Vey - Just saw the latest spin on the news. I have a problem following the logic.

We have no idea what it was or where it came from but we are sure it was not from an enemy?

Well, if you don't know what it is or where it came from, then how do you know - besides lotsa times the 'enemy is within'.

I am just glad we didn't hit anybody with it - whatever it was...

Seems like a lot of experts don't like the "official" BS.

Late news last night reported one "agency" said it was just the sun glinting off an airliner.

      What are those people smoking?

Not sure, Kay -- but, as with many things, what they are getting is apparently one hell of a lot better than the general public gets.

Man, don't you hate it when that happens?

Officially, the final word seems to be "we don't know what it was ...so it didn't happen"....
