Have you seen this little girl from Iowa??

This is a long shot, but I'm posting wherever I can. My friend's little sister went missing on her way to school Friday morning and they haven't seen her since. A neighbor saw her get into a red car instead of her school bus and no one has seen her since.

If you are in Iowa can you please re-post this link on your Facebook Page? Or if you have any information call the police.

Thank you.

That doesn't sound good at all. Hopefully just a matter of an estranged parent wanting the kid? I think after this amount of time you should widen your search. You can get in and out of that state in a matter of hours.

No both of the parents are looking for her. A neighbor saw her getting into a red Cadillac instead of her school bus but saw no sign of struggle. Someone talked her into the car and stole her. They are passing out flyers tonight. I wish I could be there to help, they're a good family friend in another state.

I didn't realize she was adopted when I suggested that one. Has anyone suggested hypnotizing the witness to try to get that license plate number?

Um - if he saw the plate area of the car at all he doesn't need to remember it.....which is the purpose of hypnotism for recall. I'm really surprised that the police aren't pressing him to do it.

Wow. What a bummer. What you have to hope for is 'between a rock and a hard place' - I won't be too graphic but I am sure you can imagine all the possibilities which are horrific but still better than being dead.

She may still turn up - alive - I pray that is the case.

... not many red Cadillacs - in fact other than Jerry Lee Lewis back in the 1950s I don't think I ever saw one - that would be one of the few clues so I hope they are pursuing that avenue - although still a 'needle in a haystack'.

Here's a picture of the kind of car she was in and a picture of her body build. Take a GOOD LOOK, she could be in any state by now. Just trying to get her name out there, the family are friends of mine for 20 years.

At 13 - she wasn't what I think of as a "little girl"...and honestly sounds a bit like a willful brat.

News reports say she wanted to take a day off to spend with friends - she was upset - so she camped out with STRANGERS for a week. Feel sorry for her parents and siblings as I expect life with her is one drama after another.

It's bad enough to do something stupid when you don't get your way - but this demonstrated total lack of common sense and maturity in staying with strangers and a lack of empathy for family in staying away when she knew they were worried about her.

She needs a big hug - and then a serious dose of discipline.

So glad they found her that is great news.

I can understand what you are saying too Kay - I don't understand how some kids can do that and not care about what their parents are going through. I think at that age if I did that, I would spend the whole time worrying about what my Mum was thinking and how much trouble I'd be in when I got home.

At least she is safe though and hope she doesn't do that to her parents again.

Yes - glad she is home safe and also agree with Kay to a large degree.

However they say that when people shout in anger they are rarely yelling at whoever is standing there - the anger is deep within toward something or someone who is not present (the void) and as I believe they had mentioned she has issues with her birth parents and that whole routine, I am pretty sure that is who she was willfully punishing by her actions rather than her adopted parents -

"It's hard to hide when you are crippled inside".

... and that is not to say that a teenager cannot get in a total rage when someone stops them from doing what they want to do (especially if the other kids can do it).

Who knows really - I hope she does get punished for this but most of all thank God she is safe.

I should think her parents and police should make her aware that what she did was tantamount to "crying wolf" and that she better be very careful, because next time if it is a true emergency there may not be people willing to intervene on her behalf. It was said that she has a "good head on her shoulders" yet she ran off for days with strangers. She better start using that "good head" real fast.

I'd be curious to know the total costs involved in searching for her. Tax payers get a wee bit upset when money is being wasted.

    On the other hand...

-- You have to feel for the Parents, and understand that you would want your kid back. Sure the kid might have made a mistake, but think about it like this...

If I ran away from home right now... And my parents were searching, I can bet that a couple of warriors, would be trying to help too... And if I pulled it to hang with friends, you still would be happy to have be bakc.

So really the money is just numbers, no matter why they went missing, we should still find them.

Glad to hear she was found!

Caleb, I agree they should be found at all costs. This young woman is old enough now to understand the consequences of her actions.

She needs to realize her actions were at a cost to others - including the suffering her parents, family and friends went through.

Maybe some professional help would benefit her.

Um hello? I'm the one who knows the family and until you KNOW FOR SURE what happened how can you judge??

Tiffany happens to be adopted and she's got some angst going on with that right now. She wants to find her birth mother and is very upset about being adopted. She was also "grounded" at the time with her phone privileges taken away so she had teen angst about that too.

Yes she could have turned herself in sooner but she had NO IDEA this was the extent of things going on. Her sister showed her our "BRING TIFFANY HOME" Facebook page and she started crying, she had NO IDEA that it was this huge and this much of an expense for her. She's a very nice little girl and people need to shut up until they know the full story and not assume crap that's not true.

Kewl - we'll shut up. Just don't bother posting it here if she does it again if you don't want to know how people feel about it. I don't care what she is going through -- she needs to know that what she did has jeopardized her ability to get help next time. That shouldn't be something to rage against us for - it is something she needs to know - because that is how the police will act and you can take that to the bank. It might have been a stupid kid mistake just like kids make.......but she might have blown her grace so she needs to know exactly how careful she has to be now.

Everyone can have tantrums at us over our feelings about this.....or they can worry about the girl understanding the gravity of how it will effect a call to the police for help in the future. I don't personally care who feels or thinks what about the whole thing as long as someone has the sharps to really get that point through to this kid..............her life may depend on it.

I highly doubt she'll do it again. And we all thought she was abducted so of course I'm gonna post it here.

Someone who is 13 years old shouldn't be so crucified for her mistakes. It's not like she was a grown woman. And believe me, the family has already had that talk with her. It's up to THEM not US.

AFI - she made a stupid mistake and it doesn't take a kid to do that. People make stupid mistakes all the time............this kid was fortunate to have lived through one, sometimes things don't work out that well. It's planet earth and this planet doesn't always forgive us for the mistakes we make.

You were right to post here...........but do know that people on a whole are judgmental. You saw a cross section of how people react to this type of thing. So has the kid and her family. If they are smart people, they will all learn something from it and the girl will know that she has to be more careful now because people are likely to just shrug it off as another "escapade" if something happens again.

It all kind of stinks, but that's the way it is and what we have to deal with to live on the planet.
